We went to Tuna Azul on a Monday evening. This restaurant is on the second floor [there is also a different restaurant on the bottom , street level] a block from the beach. There was a short wait. No big deal whatsoever. We ordered and shared tacos and the grilled Mahi Mahi . The tacos were a little soaked and soggy. The Mahi Mahi with garlic sauce was fabulous. So mixed results on the food. Service was kind and attentive. The decor and ambiance lacked quite a bit. I would consider giving this place another try but there was some good and not so good things about Tuna Azul.

Been wanting to try this place every time I’m in PV but never made it. Walked here from 5D and it was well worth it. The maracuya mezcalita has delicious flavour, wasn’t very frozen when they brought it to me so melted quickly but not a huge deal. The poke tuna tostada was unreal. I only had one as I’m planning to stop at my favourite fish taco spot as well before heading back to 5D. Nice views from the 2nd floor patio and fantastic and friendly service

Delicious food and fantastic service. The chicharrones were excellent- the sweet potatoes and carmelized onions were a great flavor combo. Definitely try the recommended house salsa mix on them.
The poke on avocado was amazing. It’s a good sized serving, the poke was fresh and flavorful.
The service was excellent, and they are clearly proud of their offerings. Nice view from the upstairs as well.

I had a wonderful time eating at Tuna Azul. My waiter Enrique was wonderful! I had the guacamole to start and it had the perfect ratio of ingredients in it. Easily one of the best guacamole’s I’ve had so far in Mexico. I followed it up with a shrimp burrito. Absolutely delicious! The sauce that was mixed in with the rice was so captivating, I am still thinking about it hours later. I really enjoyed when the waiter brought out extra sauces to add to the dish! I will definitely be going back for more!

We ordered the shrimp ceviche. It was really good and very fresh. The washrooms were clean, and the staff was very kind and not pushy at all, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious and not spicy. We loved it. Just note that the place is on the second floor, so it can be a little hard to find at first, but don’t forget to look upstairs. They have wifi and they take card.

We had a party of 9 and pretty much ordered almost half the menu – not one dish was bad.
The guacamole and chips with the spicy hot sauce sooooo yum!
Drinks did not disappoint either! We celebrated a birthday and they made it special. Big shout out to Enrique who made everything so easy and attended to all our needs!
Would definitely go back and recommend this place for anyone who wants fresh & delicious seafood that won’t break the bank!

One of the most recommended restaurant in Zona Romantica. Came after seeing multiple recommendations on Reddit. The restaurant did not disappoint, the food is somewhat Americanized, but still fantastic. Fresh food. I especially enjoyed the shrimp tacos. The alcohol and food in general are priced very appropriately for the area.

We had a great experience at Tuna Azul. The ambiance, the food, and the service were all excellent. The restaurant itself is on a second floor balcony overlooking the street. We were lucky to get to observe a troop of street dancers putting on a performance while we ate. They did a great job! For food, we had the tuna montaditos, both the poke tuna and the classic versions. I highly recommend the poke tuna version. So flavorful and fresh. We also enjoyed a stingray tostada, and both shrimp and fish tacos. I had never had stingray before. It was good but probably not something I would rush to order again. The aguachile verde was delicious and definitely worth trying. Definitely worth checking out Tuna Azul!

First meal we had in Puerto Vallarta and so far, one of the best!
I got the mango smoothie and tuna chicharron tacos, while my partner got a margarita and ahi tuna. The food was delicious, service was great and we were seated along the side so with a view of the street below so the ambience was very quaint.
Would be happy to return again!
