We were celebrating a birthday… so we had a reservation for 8 on a Saturdat night… Very loud could not have a conversation let alone hear yourself think… for appetizers we had Oysters, Oysters Rockafella, Buffalo Scallops, Calamari, very good and we ordered two of each…. then we had Seafood risotto, shrimp and sausage, bouillabase, baked salmon, Chicken Piccata… the Bouillabase should have come with a rice or pasta.. But they served it just all the seafood in a broth bread on side… still good. . Then desserts included the chocolate lava cake, smores cheesecake, piece of cake for the birthday person and creme brulee…. drinks were alcohol and I had a mocktail….all in all it was delicious…

Let me start with Ryan was our server and outstanding at his job!

First time visiting from out of town. Not disappointed, the beverages cold, food hot and great service what more do you need.

I had a draft and my wife Chardonnay, both perfect chilled.
We shared a couple appetizers, red pepper calamari ( very tender) and an order of onion rings ( enough for an army) I had a cup of fish chowder that was in the top 5 ever. We also tried the steamer clams that were tasty.

Perfect lunch bite!

Don’t skip on: The Clam Chowder

Tried out Turner’s for the first time and it was great! The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant was clean. There was a variety of choices, especially for those that like seafood! We ordered the fish cake, Caesar salad, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Everything came out quickly and tasted great!

The restaurant has a very rich story and they lots of great history surrounding the area.

Recommended for anyone in the Salem area!

Tonight was our first time going to Turner’s and our server Collette was the absolute best! She helped us navigate the menu and her recommendations were spot on. We look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Went here for dinner and had a mixed experience. The fried clams were underwhelming—small and lacking flavor, so I wouldn’t recommend them. On the other hand, the mussels were great and packed with flavor. The surf and turf was disappointing; the shrimp breading wasn’t appealing, and the steak tasted like something you’d get at a chain restaurant. The baked haddock was solid, and the Parmesan risotto cake was a standout. Service was attentive and friendly, which was a plus. Overall, it was just okay—some highs and lows. I wouldn’t rush to go back, but it wasn’t a total miss either.

Turner’s Seafood on Main St is a staple of Melrose! They always have a good menu and it’s not too overpriced.

Appetizer: The Crabcake app was so delicious! It’s a perfect appetizer for a party of two and it won’t ruin your main course by filling you up.

: highly recommend the Grilled Salmon with Steamed Broccoli.

️ Tables and the space inside is a little small but that’s because they’ve occupied this space for so long and haven’t expanded.

I had a great experience at Turner’s Seafood! The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality seafood and a comfortable place to dine.

My mom was visiting from out of state and wanted to have some lobster. I knew Turners was about 10 mins away but had never been. We showed up with about a half hour to spare, and knowing we’d have to expedite our dining. The staff acted like it was the middle of the day, no qualms at all with it being close to closing, sat us on the patio as requested and provided incredible service. We were quick to order the lobster bisque (most amazing we’ve ever had), lobster risotto cakes and lobster cocktail to share. There was plenty to go around the the presentation and quality were impeccable- even at the very end of the night! The featured frozen cocktail of the day was refreshing and delicious, not syrupy or too sweet and the recommended rose was incredible. Our server was calm, patient and pleasant as well as thorough. We were polite about timing even though we never felt rushed. We had such an amazing meal and really enjoyed the perfect ambiance of the patio, which was even more amazing when we thought we’d have to do a quick order of some lobster rolls and run. It was the perfect end to her quick visit. I will absolutely be back!

Great spot for a late night drink (just one if you didn’t order food) my friend was obsessed with a particular hat that wasn’t currently on sale but a very kind worker took the hat off of his own head to give to my friend who once, at a young age was forced to eat a raw oyster here which he didn’t enjoy at the time … anyways the palate has been cleansed and he was gifted this hat. There’s also an amazing toy train that runs the length of the oyster bar.

Hailey was our server, and she was incredibly kind and patient with us, especially since we were visiting from out of town, driving back home from Salem. We didn’t get the chance to visit Turner’s in Salem, so we gave this place a try. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious, and our meals were well-prepared. I had hoped to order a lobster tail, but it wasn’t available as an add-on. Instead, they recommended the lobster pie, and I’m glad they did—it was fresh and delicious. The Parmesan risotto cake was perfect add on. The pasta with shrimp and sausage was also really good, and I loved the ricotta touch. I would have preferred a bit more pasta, but it was still delicious.

The salmon was just okay in taste, but the portion size was very large. The oysters were also just okay. The desert was also good! Overall it was great food!

Ps if they have the seasonal pumpkin beer, give it a try. My friend said it tasted well.
