Every possible bagel and cream cheese combo available. Sweet, savory, traditional flavors. I feel the unique flavors are more of a gimmick. I got the Doritos bagel and to be honest I wasn’t getting much of that Doritos flavor. But their traditional flavored are good. Classic NJ bagel, crunchy exterior, soft and doughy inside. Nice and big too. Always have had tasty sandwiches and bagels here. The small issue is their success. Can get very busy (especially weekends) and staff can be a bit less than friendly. Definitely worth a visit though.

It’s a consistent love hate relationship with Bagel Nook of Freehold.

This love hate relationship has been going on a few years. I don’t know why we even bother coming back..

On a percentage scale, It’s about 80/20. 80% the bagel is made wrong. 20% it’s made right.

80% it’s not toasted or it has the wrong has the wrong cream cheese on it. 20% it’s done correct.

Before you drive all the way home, check your food, make sure it’s correct.

I’m going to start going to Terrace Bagels. Bagel Nook is very inconsistent and inconvenient.

We come every weekend and it’s always the same outcome. Unsatisfied.

If you’re a reviewer, go undercover. You’ll see how they really shine.

It wasn’t even busy when I walked in.

My bagel seemed to have jalapeño cheddar bacon cream cheese, on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Which was supposed to be jalapeño cheddar bagel with scallion cream cheese.

I came back to the store after I got home and found the bagel was not made correct.

I told the girl it’s not scallion cream cheese. She took the bag and unwrapped the bagel to check. It indeed was not scallion cream cheese. They got a new bagel and put the correct cream cheese on it. Which is good, but in the end, I shouldn’t have to come back at all with a problem. It’s a consistent problem we have with Bagel Nook.

If you have an allergy to something food related, steer clear. The bagels we get are always cross contaminated with peanut butter, everything seeds, etc.

The floor is slippery for the workers. You can tell they slide when they walk. It appears to be grease. You can see the nasty dirty grease all over their shoes. Someone should call OSHA.

Maybe they’ll finally get their act together, when they read this review.

Came a distance from north Jersey for the pumpkin shaped bagel and they did not disappoint! This place has such unique flavors for reasonable prices, and Frankie our server was super kind and accomodating. Highly recommmend! Try the apple pie cream cheese if you are there in the fall~

Placed an order around 10am and ordered the tuna sandwich. Misleading… I received a plain roll with just tuna. No lettuce, tomatoes, or onions or even mayo. Very disappointing.

If you’re running low on ingredients, that should be communicated upfront. Don’t advertise a fully dressed sandwich and then send out something that looks unfinished.

Has there been new management? I used to love this place but the last 2 times I stopped in to get breakfast to go, was terrible. I got to work and started to eat my breakfast and there were shells in my eggs. Last time I stopped and got breakfast the bacon was undercooked. Not to mention both times my toast was only toasted on one side and was soggy. I won’t be stopping there anymore, but it’s a shame it used to be so good.

Freehold Bagel Nook, Sunday 3/2, 10:30am
“Nook (n): a corner or recess, especially one offering seclusion or security”. Freehold Bagel Nook should definitely be tucked into a corner where no one can find it because this place and its bagels only made me feel secluded and afraid, and anything but secure. The bacon cheddar bagel toasted with cream cheese I ordered came out flaccid and room temperature, if not cold. I asked kindly if it would be possible to get it toasted one more time and the staff said unfortunately they’re unable to, but they can make me a new order. I appreciated their accomodation and asked for the same order, but toasted well done this time. The second bagel had to be a Flamin Hot Cheetos bagel since they ran out of the first. Somehow the teenagers behind the counter were able to burn a thin layer of the inside of the bagel, but not get a crisp toast anywhere else on the bagel. Charging $6.80 only to be disappointed with a bagel I’d expect to get in a remote Midwestern place not really known for bagels, like Minnesota, and instead I’m in New Jersey? I will take my business elsewhere.

Out of This World Bagels! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve been fortunate to enjoy many great bagels over the years, but the ones at Bagel Nook in Freehold are truly out of this world . Everything about my recent visit was pure perfection ✨. The bagel itself had that ideal combination of a crisp exterior and a soft, chewy inside. You can tell they take pride in their craft, because every bite was a delight .
The creativity on display is impressive, but even their classic offerings are phenomenal. The fillings were fresh, generous, and packed with flavor, taking an already excellent bagel to the next level . The staff was friendly and efficient, and the service was quick even with the constant flow of customers. This isn’t just a bagel shop; it’s a culinary experience that will have you coming back again and again. If you’re looking for the best bagel you’ve ever had, Bagel Nook is the place to go!

We were visiting from South Carolina and were recommended to eat here for good Jersey Bagels. Looked online and was super excited about their fall pumpkin shaped bagel. Went there on Saturday morning around 8am and was told they did not have them and it would be about an hour wait to get one. Ended up getting just a regular old bagel. Came on Sunday to try again. They did in fact have the pumpkin bagels. I placed an order for 3 bagels, one being the pumpkin shaped bagel. Got home only to find out I did not receive the long awaited pumpkin bagel but some green and black bagel. Highly disappointed but the bagels were mid at best. Everyone else in our party got what they ordered and seemed to enjoy them.

I used to be a weekly customer and my order was never made right or things were forgotten, so I stop going for a few months. Went back today and figured I’d get something that couldn’t be messed up. Wrong… Got home and they put the wrong cream cheese on my bagel. I asked for the porkroll to be well done and it was borderline uncooked. They officially lost our business.
