My husband and I got seated right away despite no reservations at 6 on a busy Saturday night. All employees we encountered were friendly and professional. The ambiance is largely what you come here for; Fully immersive of an authentic Italian feel. I got the margarita with salt which was strong and tasted house made vs premade bottled marg mix. I had the lobster bisque, which was yummy and a great price comparing to other restaurants in the area. For my entree, I had the filet mignon with roasted potatoes and green beans and all was delicious. My husband had arancini and chopped salad with added shrimp. He thought the salad itself was kind of meh but the arancini and shrimp made up for it. Will absolutely return!

If I could give Johnny’s a 6/5 I would I love the food and the atmosphere and my waitress Sara(h) was so kind and informative of the menu and all questions we had. I got the brushetta and she suggested the cheese of the side due to my fiance not liking it. Would go back 10000/10

Johnny’s has never disappointed me when I visit their restaurant, so this year — as in years past — we decided to order Christmas dinner for 12 people. I want to mention that every one of my family members and guests thought the food was absolutely amazing and delicious.
Our order included a 12‑lb prime rib, salmon piccata, lobster mac & cheese, roasted potatoes, and green vegetables — all of which were excellent.
A big shout‑out to the owners the cook,and the staff, who were more than congenial and attentive to my needs. Next holiday, I’ll be ordering the same way again, with full confidence that everything will turn out wonderful.

We had an amazing experience at Johnny’s! The food was incredible, everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great, but what really made the night special was our waiter, Jojo.
Jojo went above and beyond from the moment we sat down. Super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without being overbearing. He made great recommendations, kept our drinks filled, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving great service.
Because of Jojo, this wasn’t just a good dinner — it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back and asking for him again!

I used to love it here but they removed the steak almafi (I believe it was called?) and ravioli from their menu. The food this time around was not great and our server didnt come around much. We never were told there were specials, but we heard them told to nearby tables after we had ordered. The girl that assisted the servers with boxing food and pouring of waters, she took care of us when she could.

The absolute BEST MEATBALLS IN SCHENECTADY!! Loved their sauce too.. They are flavorful but not too garlicky , or salty and no signs of thick chunky breading.. I’m Italian and honestly they are the closest to the way my mom made them in the 50 yrs I’ve lived here. They are also huge and had leftovers that were even better the next day !! Highly recommend!

Went for dinner at Johnny’s after seeing Titanic exhibit they didn’t open till five and we were there at four. They invited us in. We were the only ones there for the first hour. The service and food was absolutely terrific. We can’t wait to go back there again, thank you so much.

the food was incredible— and I’m sure there are plenty of reviews to support this— BUT what I’d like to give my full attention to is the service. If you are planning on dining here, ask for a table in Dana’s section!!
Dana is a superstar and shows excellence in serving. She does not play! She is friendly, personable, and knows just what you want to order. She helped both my friend and I decide on our meals quickly based on her suggestions. Dana was very accommodating. Quite honestly, we were obsessed with her. You can tell she is confident based on her knowledge of the menu and how she treats her tables like a long beloved friend.

If you’re in town, don’t miss this spot. Food, service and atmosphere is hands down amazing! I’m only here for a few days and this makes me want to stay longer. I got the Lobster Elena and I literally licked the plate clean. For dessert, carrot cake and it was the best I’ve ever had. Any and every time I visit, I will stop into Johnny’s. Feels like family, treated like family. Food like family. Bravo Jonny’s…. BRAVO!!
