Cool historical decor inside, however, everything else was dated and the floor was dirty inside.
The tangerine ice cream soft serve was amazing, famous for this I heard. The sloppy Joe was awesome, one of the best I’ve had, way better than Grandma’s!
The prices are great, got both these items for five bucks. They also have a drive-thru which is convenient.

Love this place – the best tangerine sherbet and tallyho ice cream sandwiches – but update your sign with winter hours. Very annoyed- went for lunch on friday, and it was closed. Your website redirects to facebook and it indicated you should be open. Maybe something unusual happened, but it was werid – did you close for the winter? Is so, please update. Customers need to know. Still love this place, but plant some shade trees in the gravel lot -it will look better.

Not great, not terrible. The tenderloin was a formerly-frozen glorified fritter rather than house-made, but I happen to like them both. The fries were absolutely nothing special. The baked beans were just weird, in an over-the-top sweet, orange-color, water/sauce that tasted only of green bell peppers. Because they were loaded with green bell peppers. Very odd. The chocolate shake wasn’t terrible but something was a little off. Idk.
I’ve driven by many times and finally stopped in. Now I can cross it off the list. If someone else is buying, I’d eat here again.

I was visiting from out of town and a local residents told me about this place. I feel like I found gold anytime I head back in the area I’ll be looking for this place. Everything was so fresh and you could tell the hamburgers were freshly cooked and very tasty and juicy, perfct and a rare find these days. They even had picnic tables and back under shaded trees. It would be so nice if there was other restaurants as good as this!!

This is my first experience at Jimmy’s S dairy bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful and very patient.
There was a large group of us and they were more than happy to take their time. All of the treats were delicious, everyone seemed to be very happy.

I have been here many times over the years. The food and ice cream haven’t changed a bit, always a treat! The staff members do try to get the orders out promptly, but when it is busy, you may have a shorwait; however, it’s worth it.

Best BBQ in Indiana? Lord I hope not. I ordered a BBQ sandwich and asked what came with it and was told nothing. So I ordered a root beer float. As soon as I sat down I saw the special was a BBQ sandwich with FF and beans. I received neither.
BBQ was very basic, no pickles or onion on the side, no condiments or napkins on the table. Root beer float was mostly root beer.
I would go back to try the burger. They can keep the best BBQ in Indiana…

Not our favorite drive in ice cream stand. We tried a cheeseburger, Coney dog, hot dog, fried mushrooms, and onion rings. Ever6one liked the coney and hot dog. The cheeseburger was ok. The fried mushrooms were excellent. But the onion rings were bland. We also tried the famous marshmallow coke, but no one thought it was great. For ice cream, we tried the tangerine, the vanilla with brunch, and a scoop of cookie dough. Vanilla and cookie dough were enjoyed by the kids. The tangerine was really good, but we had wished the tangerine flavor were stronger. They seem to use a vanilla base and it tastes more like a creamsicle than tangerine. Still tasty though.
