Chicken George was so inedible even our dogs couldn’t chew it! Pounds of chicken ($18/lb) were just tiny little pieces that were rock hard and way over fried! Appetizers were under cooked and mushy ($10 each). The George Mac n cheese was dry and had almost no cheese sauce ($20/dish). The only dessert to choose from was a $10 donut that I got but didn’t even try.. but $10 for a donut, seriously?
We stopped dining in because we either get terrible service, or get completely forgotten about while we’re there. This used to be the place to go to after events, but for years now they continue to disappoint every single time we get it whether it’s dine in or take out. Owner owns half the businesses between these towns and sells chicken George at all of them, and none of it is ever any good! Wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to sell it at the new pizza place he’s about to open, which is pure speculation but almost guaranteed! Also, It’s the next day after ordering and all of our stomachs are rumbling nonstop and can not get the taste out of my mouth!
Don’t know how the owner continues to open new businesses when he can’t even get one location right in a town with almost no competition or the only competition is himself and fails at that!
100% disappointing! I feel bad for our towns, there’s literally no other options!

It’s a true embarrassment but the North does it better. The Chicken George is absolutely bomb! Best fried chicken I’ve had hands down. I WILL be visiting again when I come back up this way!

Good food! They are know for the Chicken George and the Jan sauce. We ordered the mix appetizer, it’s a mix of all the fried foods. It was so good! I order a salad and added got the Chicken George on top. It was delicious! My husband got the Porky George, it was ribs and the George Chicken his sides were macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes and brown gravy. We all left super full and satisfied. Staff was super friendly and took great care of us! (The ONLY thing slightly wrong was the macaroni and cheese was a bit dry.)

We ordered 4 BLTs carryout and sides. We were passing through on our way home (Illinois). We didn’t order their singnatue chicken because we didnt want to eat it in the car. The ambiance in the restaurant was beautiful and someone was kind enough to give us some fish food to feed the carp in the pond that they had while we waited (picture is in front of their water fountain with the fish). Great experience!

22 people came to eat food after funeral. Almost all of us got chicken georgei it was so nasty Noone ate more than 2 pieces of chicken. Your grease was nasty and made chicken taste burnt. Which means old grease. The look of restraunt was beautiful. Now home and more than a few peps have stomach issues. We were all really excited til food came. I’ve ate this in past was good. I really feel your restraunt took advantage of people today. Also strawberry daquri was made wrong shouldn’t have milk taste. Please do your self a favor take that nasty red stuff off rim of glass looks festive taste horrible. Also how did food come out cold if I was just in fryer. You have nice restraunt but your food is way below average atleast today was. Hope you fix or hire cook who knows to change grease. We dined in . We had reservations which makes it worst because you knew we were coming. Very disappointed and kinda embarrassed because Noone ate anything they were trying to be polite because it was bereavement dinner.

My sister and her family arrived from out of state today and we all met at the Rock Falls location. Our waitress Kimberly was TERRIBLE. She had a helper bring our food and did not come check on us once to see if we needed anything or liked our meal so far.
My sister’s son did not get his French fries, we didn’t get buffalo and ranch sauces for the chicken George we had asked for when ordering, my mom and I needed a refill and more butter for her baked potato etc….so after almost 15 minutes I finally went to the host, Tom, and thankfully he was accommodating.
She didn’t come back till probably 10 more minutes after all that, acting as if she hadn’t neglected our table the entire time. We had to ask about the kids ice cream that is supposed to come with the meal because everyone was already done eating by the time she came smh….she did not once clear our appetizer plates and when she came back after another 5+ minutes with the checks, still no ice cream!…we asked for it to go bc we were done with the whole experience and the kids were antsy. We were charged $1.00 for the small buffalo sauce cup and $3.00 for a strip of bacon on the kids cheeseburger, yet not one apology for her crappy service….we will definitely not be back for family events in the future.

By far the BEST candlelight Inn/ Restaurant I’ve ever been to. Waitress Michelle & manager Tom were beyond accommodating and very personable. Will definitely come back. I wish more restaurants treated their patrons like they do. 100 percent first class experience.

First time here. Had the chopped salad and a steak cucumber wrap with French onion soup. The soup was out of this world. The wrap was absolutely delicious and the salad was perfect. The cucumber ranch was a pleasant surprise and worth coming back for. Our server was sweet and patient with our questions. Our issue was the booth was very tight and the large group there was obnoxiously loud.

I’m a sucker for getting cheese curds whenever I’m craving an appetizer. These cheese curds lived up to my expectations and then some. You know how a fat kid loves cake? Well, I’d be the fat kid that would secretly order these for a late night snack Also, I ordered the New York Strip steak for my main course. Wish they still had the Jack Daniels sauce to drizzle over top but it was still delicious. Perfect place to go for a night out with your significant other ❤️ However, if you are wanting to go here with your family, they are VERY family oriented as well. Go get their Chicken George with Jan sauce. It’s absolutely AMAZING!
