Champy’s is a local staple. I’ve never had a bad experience over the years of coming here. Have become a regular and gotten to know the owner and the staff af friends as well as other regulars. Also, as a Louisiana native, it’s my go to for the best crawfish and pricing in the area; when in season. Also, their gumbo is well worth trying along with the chicken. They just started their spicy breading and soon to have poboys, Gambinos bread from Louisiana.

Stop in to see if it was any validity to this “Famous Fried Chicken” claim. I got to hand it to Champy’s, that Chicken was fried dead right. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Plus, the mac-and-cheese and the potato salad were superb. Amelia and Sye took our orders with supreme professionalism. I ordered 3 piece dark (3 thighs).

The food was wonderful. I will definitely come back here if I’m ever in Madison again. I ate with my eyes when looking at the menu. I wanted more than I could actually eat. I loved everything that I ordered. I will say that had I known how good the sausage, cheese,and pickles were, I’d had ordered 2 of them. I had to take 1/2 of the order to go since it was too much for me, but it was just as good the next day. Thank you for the excellent food and service

I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. My husband had the white meat combo with mac & cheese, along with mashed potatoes. The salad was delicious, tons of meat and a very fresh sliced boiled egg and sliced pickles. The pudding was DELICIOUS!!!!! Definitely check this place out!

Stopped here for dinner. The server was friendly, and helpful. The food came out quickly, and was good, although nothing out of the ordinary. The prices seemed slightly high for the food quality. My meal was three chicken tenders, and a small condiment cup full of macaroni and cheese, and it was $14. The food was cooked well, although the mac and cheese was not hot. Overall, not a bad choice for a quick meal, but probably would try other places before coming back here. One note concerning the furnishings….. The booth we were sitting in was ripped all to pieces, and taped back together with duct tape. Also, our table was so wobbly we had to keep our feet on the bottom of it to hold it still so we could eat. Other than that, the decor was cute and rustic

We’ve never eaten here before but met up with some friends to do some trivia. We thought the chicken was good and I thought the french fries were good. Also. I had also gotten the mashed potatoes and gravy, I wasn’t a huge fan and I’ll try something different in the future. We got the jalapeno coins as an appetizer. They were good and there was a lot of them! Our server was friendly and attentive. We would eat here again.

My food came out so hot and fresh that it was too hot to eat. I got the 3pc dark baked beans and okra and our appetizer was the fried sausage, cheese, and pickles. Everything was good, service was awesome with a great atmosphere. You know me I LOVE HELLO KITTY! I just so happened to look down and there she was and butterflies to match my dress that I had on.

Loved Champy’s! We had amazing service from Ki! Honestly one of the best servers I’ve had in a while. I got a local draft and a 2 piece plate with Mac and cheese and greens. Everything was incredible. The fried chicken was definitely the star! I didn’t get pics of the food because I was too involved in enjoying it.

I don’t typically leave reviews but I had to for the amazing service I received here. I live on the other side of town so this is the first time I have stopped in. The two ladies and young gentleman at the host stand were so beyond friendly and welcoming. As I waited for my to go order, every guest was welcomed with a smile and excellent hospitality. The friendly atmosphere is obvious upon entering. I’ll make a trip back just for the service.

This place has some awesome chicken and the fried green tomatoes, omg they were so good. And you get a lot of them, 10 big slices in our basket. Icy was a great server, always checking in and sweet as can be.
