Zadock’s Restaurant is a family-friendly restaurant with great food and great people. The owners JJ and Sally have a great passion for the community. Over 15 years ago JJ’s father came to Troy, Missouri. When he decided to open a restaurant he asked the City of Troy to help him name it. Zadock Woods and his family moved to the St. Charles District of Missouri Territory around 1801 and were the first settlers granted land in that area. Zadock Woods is noted a significant early pioneer.

Great atmosphere. Decent service. And the food was quite hot. But the menu options are somewhat confusing. If you order a burger or any sandwiches you have to order freeze as an extra charge on the side. Takes quite a long time to get a beer or alcoholic beverage to your table because most of the servers I’m assuming are underage and cannot deliver them. Was not asked if I wanted another one at any point during the meal. The only food issue was that the fried Chicken seemed like it was fried in old grease. Other than that the food was excellent. And it took quite a bit of time to get the food out to us but it was very hot and fresh.

Everyone there was so nice and friendly!! This Momma really needed friendly faces today for lunch was my first attempt to taking out my newborn in two-year-old by myself for lunch. Everyone there was very understanding and very sweet as my daughter missed her nap time today and was slightly cranky. Thanks so much for providing a great atmosphere and excellent food. We will definitely be back was a great first experience!

I ordered the steak and egg breakfast with a Riley steak. I reluctantly ordered it rare, hoping for the best because I expected a thin overcooked steak. What I got was a thick enough steak that it could be, and actually was rare! It was also sufficiently seasoned to not need a steak sauce. The eggs and hash browns were fine. Several items on the menu looked like things I wanted to try.
The dining area provided a relaxed family environment and the wait staff were friendly.

Good home cooked meals fresh!! Green beans are amazing!! Hubby had the shrimp scampi he loved it, daughter had shrimp dinner and it was fresh tasty!! I had the parmesan crusted salmon!! So good and filling! We will be back!

We absolutely love this restaurant! Service is ALWAYS fantastic! Great menu choices. You have to try their desserts because they are fabulous. Our server tonight was Hannah. She said she has never served before and that she’s worked here for a month. We never would have known. She was adorable and attended to our needs! Great job, Hannah! It’s servers like you that keep us coming back! I can’t imagine Troy without Zadock’s. Quality food is their first name and consistency is their middle name. Thank you!

My in-laws took us here last night for dinner. We were greeted right away and seated. The server got our drink order and then let us know who would be taking care of us. Our food was excellent, server was so sweet, very cheerful and welcoming. She took very great care of our table. I had the crispy chicken cesar salad. OMG was it yummy good!! The fried croutons were a great touch! I cannot to come back for more!!

We had a party of 22 people and Debbie was amazing! She was patient and happy to serve our large group. She brought a birthday treat and brought other waitresses to sing for our mom’s/Grandma’s birthday. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We will be back.

I have only had breakfast here. Even when it’s lunch I still order breakfast. It’s that good! My favorites are the bacon and the biscuits and gravy but I order the big breakfast. Other people in my party love the french toast and hash browns. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. There is never a long wait for a table or our food.

Very personable Staff, very good Food, Service, Atmosphere and very reasonable prices. My friends and family go quite often and many times we need to go boxes as they have very Hearty portions and a Senior citizen and child menus.

I had tonights special filet mignon and scallops. I was so shocked at how amazing it was! The steak was cooked to perfection and so tender! Seasoned very nicely! Delicious! I wish there would have been a better portion of scallops.
