If you think great ramen needs meat, this place will completely change your mind. This fully vegan ramen spot is an absolute gem! From the first sip of the broth, it was clear how much care and depth goes into every bowl. The broth was rich, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful—comforting, satisfying, and not heavy at all.

Quick service. Typical downtown place small tight place, no stroller allowed. Only service animals allowed. Seating insides the restaurant is capped at 45 mins. Fast moving restaurants. Groups/parties can only be seated after your order is placed.

Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply a ramen lover looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit. It’s proof that plant-based food can be bold, comforting, and deeply satisfying. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! spiced to perfection.

Date night at REDWHITE Boston. My boyfriend and I chose this spot purely based on the vibes and the long line we saw while strolling down Newbury Street. I’ll preface by saying we didn’t realize it was a vegan restaurant beforehand, and if we had known, we probably wouldn’t have stopped in –but not knowing this fact we decided to give it a try anyway.

We waited about 45 minutes outside before ordering. At REDWHITE, you order at the counter first and then grab a table once one opens up. Tables are limited to 45 minutes, which made sense because the turnover was constant — as soon as one table cleared, someone who had just ordered took it. Even when we left, there was still a line.

I ordered the No. 9Truffle Salt, my boyfriend got the No. 5, and we shared the Roasted Miso Avocado roll. After ordering, we waited about another 10 minutes for our food.

The bowls were very different from each other, with different broths and noodles, though both included tofu. I didn’t mind it, but my boyfriend wasn’t a fan.
Overall, I did enjoy my ramen, though it’s definitely an acquired taste. That said, I’m not sure l’d wait over an hour again for this dish alone, but it was still a fun experience.

The cozy basement atmosphere was perfect for a cold night. Shoutout to the staff as well – they were clearly working incredibly hard to keep everything running smoothly, especially the guy who was single-handedly bussing tables and keeping the flow moving.

All in all, a fun experience with high-quality food, even if the flavors didn’t fully click for us.

So glad this was my first stop after landing in Boston. I had to try plant based ramen. I had the Mac and Truffle Mac and cheese and the Truffle salt ramen. Wow, both were so good! The ramen had so much flavor that just got better the farther in I got. Highly recommend trying this spot in a very cool neighborhood.

All vegan and vegetarian folks who have not been able to find a good ramen, this is your place! Loved all the ramen we tried and the sides too. Definitely try one of their rolls and they don’t have seaweed in them! When ordering spicy hot ramen, ask for medium spice. For all the other ramen, you can go spicy or ask for chilli oil. These are my favs – spicy hot (medium), truffle salt (with chilli oil) and Japanese curry (with chilli oil).

It’s a first come first serve basis. There is usually a wait time here. We tried this place once around 6.30 PM and at around 8.00PM. Both the times, we waited for about 20mins.

Red White Ramen is honestly a gem, especially if you’re vegan. The place is tiny, so yeah — it gets crowded fast and you’ll probably end up waiting in line. But once you’re in, the food totally makes up for it. The broth is super rich and flavourful, easily one of the best vegan ramen spots around.
We tried the sweet chilli taco roll (solid and tasty), the truffle salt ramen, garlic miso, and the red hot miso. Every single bowl hit the mark — bold flavours, great depth, nothing bland or watered down. Overall, totally worth the wait and a must-visit if you’re into good ramen, especially plant-based options.

My first time eating at an all vegetarian ramen shop. It was really good. Tight space. Small tables. Always a long line. On the expensive side so bring your credit cards. Give it a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.

Thank you to the owner for responding. We look forward to patronizing your establishment again soon.

Small, fast college setting restaurant with a good selection of ramen. I didn’t know you needed to order before sitting, but was fast. Mention the gluten free and they take out the fried onions, so no reactions for me. Was amazing and will be back again. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, stuffed.

Food:
The food was ramen and soup. It was pretty good and solid but a bit plain. Pretty solid though and most people would like it. Also vegan.
Service:
There was a line but it moved very quickly. You get a limit of 45 minutes in the restaurant else you get kicked out. You might have you wait up to 10 minutes to sit. Food is made in around 10 minutes.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant was very nice and I enjoyed how it felt. Also warm.

Amazing flavour. Not too spicy. Pair it with a can of coke for an amazing flavour. Self Service with a buzzer makes it into an experience. Clean bathroom.
If you can’t use chopsticks, they’re generous enough to offer you forks.

RedWhite Boneless Ramen is a great plant-based Japanese ramen and sushi shop in the Back Bay. We stumbled upon RedWhite during the October rainy season and it offered warm comfort food.

We ordered two ramen bowls. The No. 5 Yuzu sesame ramen had a delicious broth that combined well with the yuzu, garlic oil and sesame. The fresh corn, arugula, and sprouts balanced out the fried onions and soboro (soy meat and tofu). The No. 7 Japanese curry ramen used similar toppings to the No. 5, except for the light, subtle curry flavoring in the broth.

For sushi, we had the spicy roasted miso avocado roll. The topping of sesame seeds, onion chips, chili oil, and miso was tasty on the avocado, but the rice seemed a bit mushy/dense, which slightly impacted the texture.

The overall experience was positive, though the counter service felt strictly standard. Given the rainy, cool evening and that it was close to closing time, the kitchen felt a little off its game. I wish the staff had shared a bit more about the food sources and preparation methods.

Overall, a great place for grabbing a hearty bowl of vegetarian ramen and a sushi roll.
