Brick & Brew is my new favorite spot in Franklin, New Jersey!!! My server Emily is the pure definition of service with a smile, she was great & our dinner was awsome thanks to her recommendations!!! The classic brick oven cheese pizza was right on the money I had to order another one togo, the Chicken Maderia was delicious too!! I gotta go back, hopefully sooner than later✌️

Doordashed an order and picked it up! and steaks were medium rare and were beyond cold/and rare and hard to chew, also there was PLASTIC in my pasta. for spending so much money this is so disgusting and a safety hazard, as i almost ate the plastic. ruined my appetite and had to stop eating. I called the store and they didn’t even seem alarmed by this SAFETY ISSUE and more so annoyed by the fact that i was calling. Very disappointing as i used to love this place and recommend it to everyone but will never be going here again.

The Kingdom of Sussex has become very difficult to access due to the sinkhole debacle, so in an effort to remain friends with my top-tier chum resident of said Kingdom in these perilous times, we decided to have lunch on the other side of Sussex, far far away from my typical Route 80/15 entry point. Sussex overall isn’t the best area for eating options unfortunately, with the exception of a very small handful of establishments, so we knew the risks going in. This was actually a little better than I was expecting but there were a few misses.

We came here (along with my #1 Honorary Young Pup Chum) yesterday for an earlyish lunch around noon on a dreary Saturday. It looks like they have decent outdoor seating in the back, but that was definitely not an option on this day. We were seated in their main dining area (my chum noted there’s a downstairs bar area she’s never been in herself, but I’d be curious about that), which was smaller than the pictures online would suggest – not cramped but not quite as homey/comfortable as I was expecting. I did love their little ice bin/cabinet by the front where they keep their bottles of water cold for each table; cute touch.

We impulsively decided to hit up the Berry Mule option on the Specials Menu, and that was a huge highlight – one of the better mules either of us has had in recent memory, and we’re optimistic that it officially got my chum out of her year-long mule slump (which is a thing, people. I’ve witnessed it firsthand). The mulled berries in the bottom were a little annoying, especially with the tiny mixing straws where the fruit kept getting caught on the bottom, but overall very refreshing and tasty. I’d ask for a normal straw or swig straight up to avoid our berry drama in the future.

The mozzy sticks were pretty legit as well. A little TOO overly fried for my taste but still a positive (I like it when they have a bit more give to them, if that makes sense) and the accompanying marinara sauce was decent. Top marks from all participants.

I decided to aggressively assert myself at the top of the food chain on this particular day and went with the Butter & Rosemary Roasted Ribeye. Eh. The bacon potato cream sauce it comes with is really good but there are two issues – one, it’s completely obscuring the steak, so you can’t see the super fatty gristle sections that I’d typically avoid/cut off and you aren’t going to discover them until it’s too late and they’re in your mouth and two, the sauce got cold very quickly. It was a little nippy in there (my chum noted that the waitress had to turn up the heat in there about halfway through our meal) but I think the obvious fix is to make sure that sauce is piping hot to begin with so it’s not chilly within two minutes. The potatoes were excellent, both in mashed and presumably roasted form. Would get those again in a heartbeat.

Somehow I still found room for dessert and opted for the mint chip brownie sundae. I’m pretty sure all of the ice cream here is actually gelato, so be aware you’re getting a rich co-star with these desserts. It was very good though on all fronts, and I thought the brownie was just the right amount of density – this was the only item I had, now that I’m thinking about it, that didn’t have any slight issues. Perfect across the board as far as I’m concerned.

The service was excellent and put this over the top for me as a result. Our waitress was very friendly and down-to-earth, came by regularly, and demonstrated a very strong knowledge of the menu. We were all huge fans, so even with small problems across most of the items served, that intangible made up for a lot in my book. I might have to get a little creative to avoid some metaphorical potholes (or dare I say sinkholes) on the menu but this is worth a repeat visit.

This place is almost like 2 separate restaurants. The upstairs is built for a nice family setting, downstairs is a bar. Same menu for both floors. Food was pretty good, staff were nice.

Found this place on a whim with my family after our first plans didn’t pan out. We had the most wonderful experience. We devoured a dozen steamed clams in like 5 minutes. And the rest of our food was just as delicious. The waitress was absolutely amazing and added to our experience. Didn’t catch her name but she deserves to be recognized

I usually really enjoy brick and brew so I decided I wanted to eat there for Valentine’s day. My night was unfortunately really tainted because of the extremely rude service we received which included seeming extremely annoyed when I asked for a drink when we were asked and my partner said he was okay with water and the waitress went to walk away and we said excuse me to tell her I still would like a drink, after that when my partner asked to add something to his sandwhich and I asked for no tomato’s in mine she gave a very nasty look (still arrived with tomatoes) and also laughed and scoffed at my partner when he decided on adding another dish just a minute after our order was taken (that’s partially on fix for not having that prepared right away but her reaction wasn’t professional) but regardless her behavior made me really uncomfortable, I spend my dinner wondering if I had done something wrong and it made me really uncomfortable wondering why she was being rude, making faces and scoffing. She seemed annoyed to serve and I was uncomfortable asking her for anything. I remained extremely kind the entire time because I can understand people just have bad days but it made for a horrible experience on a night out for valentines.

No negatives to brick and brew as a whole I understand this was just 1 person but maybe pay closer attention to the service the customers are receiving by employees.

Stopped in for a late dinner on a Friday night. Everything was delicious! The restaurant was very clean with friendly service. The pizza oven smelled amazing, so we ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. It was fantastic! We also ordered the honey barbecue wings which were perfect. They had my favorite fall beer, Pumpking in tap, which was a nice surprise.

Overall, Brick & Brew is a great spot for tasty food and delicious beers on tap, as advertised. We will certainly return.

Note that there is additional parking behind the building.

We stopped here for early dinner family of 5. The place looks really nice and the atmosphere is welcoming. The parking lot was generous. My son had the cheese steak sandwich, which was really good (if you’re a fan of hoboken’s piccolo steak). Fire roasted steak sliced with Sautéed onions. My other son had a pepperoni pizza at 15, and he had no problem finishing it up. My wife had the salmon in an Alfredo sauce, which she loved. I had the bourbon glazed pork chop. The chop was a little overdone for my liking but the glaze was fabulous. Would go here again and give a follow-up review. My only negative comment would be the chairs are a little tight for your back side. I’m not a big dude 210lbs and the 2 back bars pinch you after a couple 15 minutes.
