Dockside Social, nestled near the river in Little Current, offers an outdoor patio as their only seating option when we visited. Despite this, they were dog-friendly, which was a huge plus since we had our furry friend with us.
Their menu primarily consists of pizzas and sandwiches. We opted for the margherita, prosciutto, chicken, and Italy pizza. Each pizza was an absolute delight. The toppings were generously distributed, and the charred crust added a delightful extra layer of flavour.
Overall, the pizza was delicious, and the staff was friendly. They even allowed us to bring a cake to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Considering these factors, I highly recommend trying Dockside Social when you’re in Little Current.

Food service and atmosphere were all great. It was a little chilly outside but they had blankets out. The pizza was just what I needed on this trip of mostly mediocre food. We tried their famous pear pizza and it was good, but you really need to love strong cheeses for that. All pizzas we tried were well made. Would definitely return. Especially when the weather is nicer.

We really enjoyed our visit to Dockside Social in Little Current. It’s a cute little venue with a relaxed vibe. We sat up on the upper deck, which gave us a perfect view of the boats and the famous swing bridge in action.
The ordering system is simple — you place your order at a window on the main floor, get a buzzer, and then pick it up when it’s ready. We had a couple of beers and shared a pizza, which was absolutely fabulous.
One thoughtful touch we loved was the basket of blankets they provide in case it gets chilly — such a nice detail for guests sitting outside.
Definitely a great spot to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the views!

Great location right on the water overlooking the marina in Little Current. It’s a serve yourself counter and you pay up front which is a little awkward for tipping. I generally don’t like to tip if I have to stand and order my food and clean up afterwards but I did since the location and atmosphere are awesome.
We all had sandwiches which were nice, fresh & good quality ingredients but lacking in sauce/flavour. (Docker and Caesar sandwiches.) But staff was friendly, everything is new and clean including the bathrooms.
Pets are welcome too! We brought our dogs. No problems! They’ll give you a bowl of water for them if you ask.
AND they had a basket of clean blankets which we definitely appreciated since it was a cool windy day. (And it rained but we were able to move to a sheltered area.)
It’s different than what we were expecting but I’d still definitely go again.

Probably the best pizza on the island. We went here on Friday around 6 pm. There’s a ground floor and another floor above to sit. Service is good and drinks are served quickly. We ordered a prosciutto pizza and mortadella pizza and they were great.
The tables were full when we got there and our four pizza order took 50-60 minutes so bear that in mind. The workers said sandwich orders are quicker.
We will definitely go back.

Great social bar with pizza and sandwiches. Big deck, lots of seating, and a rooftop patio. There is no indoor seating, but there are washrooms. Very busy and lively. Expansive drink menu with local beer on tap. The staff is great, very friendly, and provides great service.

Dockside Social, located in downtown Little Current on Manitoulin Island, has quickly become our favorite open-air spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks with a stunning view of the North Channel.
I tried their pizza and was absolutely delighted — my daughter and I truly enjoyed every bite. Their Italian-style food, including delicious sandwiches, made me feel like I was dining in Italy. I went there as part of my Canada crosscountry bikepacking trip on my giant Pak yak with my partot Chuck.
I was looking for a place to charge my battery and i spotted the Dockside .
Upin entering , the pixmzza smell got to my nose like a black fly get to your calf on a hot summer night ; i wish i had more budget then
The place was full of happy people and the line up was feeling more like a ” big current “.
I asked Jason, the owner if i could charge my battery and take some pictures because i couldn’t find any on google when he told me this was the opening night !
Chuck, m sun conure, was definitely the cherry on top and was very popular with the kids : Jackson, Liz and Ayla
Very nice ambiance with lot’s of nice people and a really affordable menu !
The Staff did a very good job keeping up with the flow.
Recommend this place to locals and travellers alike !
