Reviews
The dinning area we were placed in was very nice but the table for four would probably have been better for two. The dinning area was pretty covered by tables and diners proving the staff to be extremely skilled in their service. Our challenge was that between two glasses (water and soda), an entree plate, light in the center of the table and two vegetable plates to be shared, it was cramped and a culinary obstacle course.
So I got the preliminarily experience out of that way let’s move on to the meals. Only two appetizers were ordered, the Lobster Bisque which was presented very well but was a bit underwhelming. Then there was the Pork Belly. Now pork bellly, when executed correctly, should just melt in your mouth. The joy of the pork belly if the rendered fat and tender meat. NEITHER existed with this fish. Where the Lobster Bisque was underwhelming, the Pork Belly was a criminal offense.
The table ordered one Filet Mignon, one New York Strip and two Bone-in Ribeyes. The Filet was a good piece of meat, and cooked perfectly to a medium. The New York Strip and Bone-in Ribeyes were not close to the quality of the pricing. These were priced like Capital Grille and delivered more like a Texas Roadhouse without the execution. My ribeye was accompanied by a crab cake on top. Yes it had crab on it, but that cake was all shape and nothing else. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer my crab cakes aren’t mostly filler, but I also expect a little effort in creating a dining experience. The entrees were served with either mashed potatoes, flavorless or scalloped potatoes. The scalloped potatoes were one of the two best tings about this meal. Enough so my wife gave up on her mashed potatoes and told k over my scalloped potatoes and asparagus. There were also two sides ordered, creamed spinach which, here we go again, was underwhelming and the second star of the night, the brussel sprouts. Best flavor of the evening hands down. These were excellent. The meal was finished off with chocolate cake that was fine.
Overall I gave this restaurant 2 stars and would never go back. The experience was not worth the almost $500 cost that included a $100 tip (with no alcoholic beverages ordered). Definitely not when there are some AMAZING steakhouses in the area both chain and local that will deliver excellent aged cuts of beef. My personal favorite is F&D Prime Modern Steakhouse in Lake Mary, but I also think STK in Disney Springs delivers a much better culinary experience at the same if not slightly higher costs. So the only question I have for such a disappointing experience is, is it laziness, cost control or just a rush to deliver servings that led the such a blah dinner? Or maybe it’s Disney arrogance that their visitors will pay anything just to say I did it? Neither is good and pride should matter which here it clearly didn’t.
Dining at The Yachtsman Steakhouse was a wonderful experience overall. True Disney fine dining with the level of service you’d expect from a high-end restaurant.
Service & Atmosphere
The service was absolutely top-tier. Our waiter was clearly professionally trained — from the precision in how dishes were presented and cleared to the careful table maintenance between courses. Crumbs brushed away, fresh cutlery set, perfectly timed pacing — it all reflected a polished, refined dining experience.
The atmosphere was elegant but not stuffy, maintaining Disney’s welcoming warmth while still offering a quiet, upscale escape from the parks.
Food & Drinks
The food was generally very good, though there were a couple of misses.
Steak: I ordered my steak Chicago medium rare, but it came out Chicago blue — much rarer than expected. I still ate and enjoyed it, but it wasn’t quite what I’d requested. Our waiter was ready to return it, but I decided to keep it.
Sides: Outstanding. The Brussels sprouts had a touch of sweetness and were perfectly cooked. The creamed spinach was rich, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve had anywhere.
Caesar Salad: Simply excellent — crisp, well-dressed, and balanced. One of the best I’ve had.
Dessert: The lemon meringue pie was the only real disappointment for me. It was more of a cake-style pie and just didn’t hit the mark flavor-wise.
Value
For a signature Disney restaurant, prices were quite reasonable given the quality of service, presentation, and setting inside the Yacht Club Resort.

Final Verdict:
A refined dining experience with world-class service and great food overall, even if my steak was slightly underdone. The atmosphere and professionalism more than made up for it.
Would definitely return and recommend.
We took several entrees, the places served additional bread and butter for free. The onion bread wonderful, soft with strong flavour of onion, i couldnt help myself from filling myself even before the rest of the meal came up.
Ribeye steak- smooth and soft texture but with somwhat weak flavour. Only the crust had strong flavour, overall good dish.
We took several side dishes with the steak.
Mushrooms in wine- tasty and juicy, excelent.
Brussel sprout- great flavours, mixure of sweet, bitter and salty, which i realy liked.
