Because there aren’t many late-night options, I went back after a terrible visit the week before (waited over an hour for a to-go order along with multiple other people waiting, zero offer from staff/management to make it right; see lobby photo with no hostess). I even emailed BWW corporate and got no response.
Fast forward a week: I place an order at 11:17 PM. The app says they’re open till 12 AM and lets me proceed with my order with no warning that the kitchen might be closed or closing. Then the confirmation says pickup is 11:00 AM the next day—obviously not what I wanted (see order confirmation). I call immediately to cancel. Person on the phone asks for my card details (expiration and CVV), says they’ll tell the manager and it’ll be canceled.
Next day—nothing. I call again, retell the story, get asked the same card info, told the same “manager will handle it.” Two more days—still no refund. I call a third time, same script: tell the story, give the expiration/CVV/last four, “we’ll give it to the manager.” Each time I’m also told the kitchen closes at 11:30 PM, which raises eyebrows – not fulfilling a paid for order 13 minutes before kitchen closes and 43 minutes before the restaurant closes if the app took it?
Two bad experiences back-to-back, no accountability, no follow-through. Hard pass. Will be going through credit card to get refund.
We just left this place after sitting hungry for an hour. It took 20 minutes for the hostess to notice us, place us at one of a dozen and a half empty tables, and to get water. Then nearly 45 minutes before we got frustrated and left without ordering because our server just left us there.
The place was not overly busy, or understaffed. There was no big game, event, or crowd. There was no reason for this experience.
It was our first and last time trying a Buffalo Wild Wings location.
The 1 star review is in accordance to the poor staffing job. Every time I come here it’s a 20-30 min wait for food, with nobody at the front to check consistently if orders are done, and as somebody who delivers on Uber, I’m not being paid by the hour. I’ve never experienced this slow service, and I’ve delivered in Cambridge, Boston, south and north shore. Poor execution, over working the kitchen, under staffing, who knows. One things for certain, this isn’t being ran the way it should be, considering I visit 100+ restaurants a week, – some chains much much busier than BWW – and none take even remotely this long to provide food that’s not even gourmet. Do better.
As a final caveat, you could expect this wait if it was a big order. It was a chicken sandwich, a cheeseburger, and 3 chicken tenders this time. Next time, it will probably be a 40 minute wait for a salad.
In !!! I come here a lot only because my kids love it! If it was me I would have boycotted it. It’s always a mess here, never a hostess , no manager food takes forever to come out and it always cold and old. The server we always get is Jess ! She is honestly a breath of fresh air in here! Coming from a server and bartender myself I always tell her you need to leave this place. She sat us, served us, cleaned all her tables and even sweeping the floor while every other worker stood towards back of room talking. There is no bar backs here , no hostess and no manager ever here. I don’t know how they stayed open . I will continue to come and ask for Jess she’s amazing you guys are lucky to have her!
