My husband and I went to hurricane grill last night to have some apps and drinks after work to unwind. We sat at the bar. We were greeted quickly and gave our drink order of two house margaritas. That is when it all went wrong. It took approximately 10 min to get our drinks and when it came the glass was dripping wet on the outside and the salt rim was sliding down the sides. It was obvious the glass has just gone through the three sink cleaning process bar use and they were not even dried. Not appetizing when you lick the salt off the rim. We ordered nachos that came out quickly. That is the only positive about that appetizer. There was absolutely no chili on the nachos as described on the menu. Only a thin chilli like liquid. The toppings were not evenly distributed. Just dumped on top. Long and short it was a terrible experience and we will not be going back.

So happy we came here for dinner. The best part? These were some of the best wings I’ve had. I enjoyed my sides and drink as well. The service was amazing. Our waitress was so kind and funny, it made our experience even better. The place including the bathrooms was clean too. The worst part? I don’t have anything to add. I’m definitely going again when I visit Newburgh!

I had went here with my boyfriend and his mom, I’ve been wanting to try this spot since we got together so this was my first experience and never again, this night out ended in a hospital trip. When we walked in we were seated immediately and I didn’t even get a chance to look at the menu and a server came to the table. She asked what drinks we wanted, great. Then asked if we wanted appetizers, but we explained we needed a seconded to look over the menu, she then walked away with an attitude. When she brings us our drinks we only have time to figure out what appetizers we wanted. We explained the pretzel had to have no butter because his mother has a severe dairy allergy, and then said we needed more time to pick our entree and she proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away. His mother proceeded to go to a manager and ask if they have a dairy free menu and they do not. They explain they have to check the kitchen and will come and let us know what she can have, no one ever showed up. The server comes back 4 minutes later and we all order wings, his mother reminded the server again that she has a dairy allergy and the server failed to reiterate that the chicken is battered in BUTTERMILK. We receive the appetizers and the beer batter cheese was cold, but the chips and queso was good. Then we receive our entrees and his mom begins eating when I questioned what they were battered with. She had already eaten one before I realized. A manager walks by and we get his attention and try to ask what the chicken is battered with and he can’t even understand us. He gets the other manager and we ask him if there’s dairy in the chicken. He says no and his mom asked what it was battered with and he said buttermilk. Not realizing buttermilk is dairy… when his mother corrects him he says “some of the waitresses don’t know to much about the allergy stuff or they forgot”. I find this extremely unprofessional. We then had to pack all our food and leave so she could go take medication, but by the time we left the parking lot the reaction was becoming more and more severe so she had to go to the emergency room. If the server had reiterated that the chicken was made with buttermilk or the restaurant was more allergy friendly none of this would’ve happened. I will never come here again and we will be asking for compensation. I do not recommend to eat at this location there’s better places to eat in Newburgh.

We had the Mac & Cheese bites. The bacon flavor was a nice touch, and being served with chips was different. However, the bites were soaked in the sauce. It would be better to serve the sauce on the side, & let the customer decide on how much sauce to use. I had the fish & chips. It was good, but the fries weren’t hot. The garlic-parm broccoli was delicious. Our waitress was very attention. We will definitely return to try other dishes.

First time here. As soon as you go in you feel like a relax vibe with some nice funky music. I came for lunch with my wife. Alicia was our host and she was a sweetheart. We ordered some mozzarella sticks, bone in garlic parmesan and boneless lemon pepper chicken wings. The wings came with some blue cheese. We also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Everything was very good. The place was clean and well decorated.

Oh my goodness. This was one of the best eating experience so far this year…. EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME. BELLA…. Our waitress was amazing . The steak hoagie scrumptious….my wife had the Bacon Guacamole Burger and SHE WAS HAPPY…. NICE atmosphere and great food…. Coming back with my family….. I had a side order of Mexican corn I took a picture of it but it was too late because I had already ate the corn it was that good I could not wait! And the drinks were in. OH MY GAWD DELICIOUS I ORDERED THE WHITE SANDS SANGRIA AND MY WIFE ORDERED THE NEW AMSTERDAM PINK WHITNEY COSMO YOU CANNOT GO BAD THOSE DRINKS WERE AMAZING!

Having a lazy day, but wanted to get out for a bit and have a drink. I had passed by Hurricane’s a couple years ago but had not made it there yet. It was only 8 minutes from the hotel, so off we went. The decor inside is really cute. There is outside seating overlooking a stream that would be nice in warmer weather. They had happy hour drinks from 3-6 on a Saturday! Boy was hangry so we got the firecracker shrimp to start. I really liked how crispy they were and the sauce waa relly good. I had the Bacon Jam BLT and hubs had the Chimichurri Steak. There was SO much bacon on my BLT and the bacon jam set it off quite nicely. The steak was cut and cooked good and was flavorful. I got 5 bone in WI gs with Boss Sauce, which I really liked the flavor. I got a side of the Roasted Garlic Inferno, which was supposed to be the hottest, but didn’t seem spicy at all and was a little tangy. Glad we made a visit and it hit the spot.

I received mixed reviews before trying this spot, but I still decided to give them a try. The food is good. I have no complaints. I actually enjoyed it alot. The Perfect Storm Platter is great for an appetizer. It comes with Firecracker Shrimp, Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, & Garlic Parm Fries. They have a large variety of wing selection to choose from, as well as chicken, tacos, steak, and impossible burgers. The food isn’t the problem. The service is horrible. The staff is not attentive. We ordered drinks, then ordered my appetizer. Some friends joined us, ordered drinks, and got their drinks before we did. I finished my appetizer, and the still the drinks never arrived. The bartender was playing with his phone, and talking to some girls, instead of paying attention to his job. We had to get the manager involved. The waiter wasn’t any better. She was not attentive to our table, nor the table next to us. I can see if it was crowded, but it was pretty empty that night. They got to do better, or change management. Unacceptable!
