Food seemed fresh, but not flavorful at all. The difference between the sweet and sour chicken and the spicy crispy chicken is just the peppers. Chow mein is mainly celery and not bean sprouts. Soup was cold. Overall, not worth the price. You can find better in Spokane.

D I S A P P O I N T E D Read the past negative reviews about the quality of food going back 5 months- 1 year. It’s been 3 years since we were last here and the food quality was fantastic then. Last week’s experience from what was once a great Chinese restaurant is no more. Notice that the owners now fail to respond to any google map reviews.
To be fair, I will point out a few positives. They did accommodate 5 of us with a reservation and the chairs are comfortable. The server was very persistent to make sure we had everything we needed, the whole time. The service was fast. The hot tea was abundant. The combination plate sizes were the largest we have ever seen for a Chinese restaurant. Large fried prawns are about 8 to 10 inches.
However, the negatives abound. The outside of the restaurant has not been maintained. I mention the sizable proportion served. But quantity does not make up for inferior quality. I ordered a combination #11 plate, Almond Chicken, Special Chow Mein, BBQ Pork and an Egg Roll. The gravy in the Almond Chicken blended between no taste to an identifiable flavor. Not the flavor I am accustomed to across the western states at many other Chinese Restaurants. The special Chow Mein does have the advantage of not having any celery, but the soft noodles were gummy. The broccoli in the Special Chow Mein is under cooked. The BBQ Pork had no flavor except for the red sauce I dipped the pieces into. The large Egg Role was salvageable with the requested hot oil. I purposely did not use soy sauce to get the true flavor of the cuisine.
I usually do not write bad reviews but my experience here is a fair warning to others. If the owners were concerned they would be responding to the negative reviews as well as the positive ones.

We LOVE the food here, the waitress was very attentive and nice and the food was WAY better than Cathy Inn! Their almond sauce is just right and we always have leftovers for multiple days that are easily heated in the air fryer.

I hadn’t been here in years and they didn’t disappoint!! Everyone in our party left plesently full with leftovers in hand (which is my personal favorite) lol.
Our service was great and we didn’t have to wait long to get our food either.
Will definitely be making a return trip soon for Happy Hour at the bar! Seeing the $5 drink specials offered – Tequila Tuesday anyone – will make a weeknight so much better!

The ambiance was so amazing it’s beautiful to just sit and look around at all of the authentic decoré. As the server about it and they may tell you some cool stories.
-the service was very good
-the food was incredibly delicious and there was plenty of it. We felt as if we couldn’t hit the bottom of our plate.
-The real test was leftovers the next day were still just as good!
-we loved the full service tea as well.

This use to be a excellent chinese resturant but last nights dinner put it in a whole new class, POOR. We ordered dinner and the server forgot the tea, we had to ask twice for it. after 45 minutes to get our food, it was cold and our server forgot another one of our items. finally we got it, the BBQ pork was so dry and gray we didnt eat it as afraid of getting sick. the chicken was tough and old tasting. the food had no flavor, absolutley bland. The server never came back to our table to ask if we needed more water or another beer! But they do want a tip. Bad service, extremely bad food and high prices. When are resturants going to be accountable for their actions? Our dinner was over $70.00 with 3% convenience fee and 20% tip! Another resturant on our Do Not Go To list.

I was a little put off at the end of our meal. We paid in cash, she saw the cash sitting on the table and kept walking by and not picking it up. It felt like she was waiting for us to just leave.. but we didnt and when she finally came to grab the check and payment, she asked if I wanted any change back. And I originally said “yeah” and she said “so change back or no”, and I looked at my husband and she said “no change?” Again! And I just felt so awkward and pressured so I said “fine just keep the change.” To be honest, do not ask guests if they want their cash back! Bring it to them, and they will tip as they see fit! The receipt already had 3% gratuity, hardly checked on our table and told my 2 yr old to shhh a few times. That is my job to teach my child manners, I do not need the waitress telling my son to “shh” because he was being to loud and giggly or excited for his meal. Never had an issue with this place before tonight..

Absolutely awful. Service was slow (had to repeatedly look for or send someone to find our server) and half the food was cold (Luke warm is being kind). The spicy crispy chicken? Don’t bother, ketchup is spicier. Fried rice? I guess that dry brown rice with dried pork shreds and NOTHING, seriously, nothing else in it is subjectively pork fried rice. No egg, veggies, butter, nothing. One bright spot: the sweet and sour pork was ok, sauce was good and at least it was hot.
Overall, just really poor quality for what we paid. Very disappointing.

Food is great, but the wait was terribly long. It is was chaotic. There was fights in the kitchen with the chefs. It was terrible. I had to leave and go somewhere else after already waiting an hour and a half when I had a reservation. Next year, I decided to just get it to go that was not even ready and I had little kids in the car waiting. I thought I’d be able to just go in and get my food that I had pre-ordered. If you don’t have patience, don’t eat there. It’s a good thing. Their food is good because I’m surprised they’re in business with the service that they have.
