I didn’t catch our waiter’s name but he was young with curly black hair. One of the best waiters I’ve ever had. He was kind, knowledgeable, and took excellent care of us. He definitely made the experience so much better.
I ordered the brisket grilled cheese but we also had the scallop plate and chicken sandwich. All were excellent and the prices were insanely cheap as well. I do wish my grilled cheese had a BBQ sauce on it but the taste was still to die for. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a huge portion.
The restaurant itself is cute and there’s even a free cup of soup with a purchase of a meal. I think anyone should definitely try this place out!
But after getting grub hub not sure i will be ordering or dining in anytime soon again.
$10 for the smallest slice of dessert, and $6 mark up for chicken to a salad and the portions are tragic for the price.
The slice of dessert is next to a teaspoon for reference.
I saw the valentines specials up and figured that’d be a good deal. I’ve never had prime rib, I want to try it. So we went.
Restaurant is WAY too dark. I could barely read the menu- I had to shine my phone’s light. And before you think I have bad eyesight… I am 23 years old. Way darker than I ever remember, but maybe it’s been so long…
Before I get into anything else, the server was great. I’m sorry for forgetting her name, but she was super sweet and polite and apologetic. She wore a pink bow in her hair that night. I understand that the server is not a reflection of the restaurant- so that girl truly deserves her praise for dealing with the stress of a major holiday. Give her a raise.
Anyway, the food came out, and neither me or my partner were given silverware. No forks or napkins, literally one fork and one butter knife that was on the table when we arrived (so I’m not sure if it was clean or left over). He had to flag someone down for utensils. Not to mention, it was about 20 minutes before I got my simple cocktail, not that I needed it right away. But it was to the point that I thought they forgot it altogether.
The actual food, my partner ordered the alfredo and it was delicious. We both agreed. I ordered the prime rib- it is supposed to come with a horseradish sauce of some sort, and there was absolutely none. I ordered my cut rare and found that is was more towards medium/medium-well; maybe that’s my fault and I don’t know what prime rib it supposed to be, I was under the expectation it would be at least a little pink, if not redish like a rare steak. My meat was grey, which I thought was the lighting at first but based on the chunk I took home, it was definitely overcooked.
Overall, I left a bit disappointed, it’s not memorable in anyway, and I think forgetting and then going half a decade in between trying again is acceptable for Gators.
He went to pick it up and said the hostess was extremely rude to him because he didn’t know where to pick up the food. (We’ve never been there before). The food was terrible my burger was so burnt I couldn’t even eat it. It was just char. The fish sandwich was tiny, and they barely gave me any onion rings they were all crumbs. My toddler didn’t even like her Mac and cheese and broccoli and she actually hacked up a piece because the broccoli was still raw and not cooked all the way The clam cakes were just straight up batter. They tasted like salty biscuit balls it was awful. I don’t understand how this place has 5 stars. I get it, people have bad days, but damn 3 meals all at once that were this terrible? Yikes. I knew I shoulda cooked dinner tonight shame on me ♀️
