Sherpa’s Restaurant opened its doors in September of 2002 with a unique approach to the restaurant business. From our love for good Himalayan cuisine (and the talents of our great chefs), our personal affinity for Himalayan culture, and our passion for the mountains, cold beer, and education – Sherpa’s was born.
As the name implies, there are genuine Sherpas from the Himalaya here to bring a little of Nepal and Tibet to Boulder. In addition to great food and atmosphere, we offer a traveler’s lounge with plenty of books to help get you started planning your next (or better yet, first) adventure.
Dumplings, noodles & even yak curry, plus lunch specials & a full bar, amid Himalayan folk art.

Food was good, flavorful.. authentic nepali taste but somewhat toned down spices… I ordered fried momo and they were delicious and big.. free papad with two chutney were good portion too… thukpa was tasty, lot of vegies and tofu was in the stew.. bang for the bucks..

We had such a great time at Sherpa’s Adventurers Restaurant and Bar! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—it felt like visiting a home away from home.
We ordered Thukpa, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, the broth was perfectly spiced, and the fresh ingredients made it even better. You can tell they put real love into their food.
The atmosphere was cozy, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience was just fantastic. If you’re looking for authentic Nepalese food and warm hospitality, this place is a must-visit!
Definitely coming back again, when I am in Boulder! Highly recommend!

Visiting my old home, and was so happy that this landmark of a spot was still around. The atmosphere, service, and food, have always been consistently on point. We had such a nice meal sitting on the patio.

Sherpa’s Adventure Restaurant is an establishment that is intertwined with Boulder itself and should be visited if you’re in the area. The history of mountaineering is present throughout the restaurant which looks like a big house with patio seating. It has tasty, filling food for a decent price.

Great experience! We loved the new flavors!
We asked to sit outside and walked through the kitchen area, it was spotless! The staff was so wonderful. You should check it out! It’s right in downtown Bolder, perfect stop before or after checking out the bike path.

This place is AH-mazing!! We were a large party who came for my little brother’s rehearsal dinner before his wedding tomorrow! So blown away at the amazing food, service, atmosphere, etc. The kids had a fabulous time as well. The wait staff even made napkin “hats, and helped the kids load their plates for our family style feast. Easiest 5 stars I have ever given a restaurant!

I’ve dined here before; but today’s meal was easily one of the best meals I have ever had. In. My. Life. I got the chicken curry, and I had to double check that it wasn’t salmon (which I had considered ordering) because it melted in my mouth like salmon would. And there was a spice that was so amazing and delicious in one of the bites. It was something I had never tasted before—exotic, floral, and a complete surprise. I think they put it in very sparingly…. The garlic cheese naan was delicious— perfectly cooked with slightly burnt corners and warm and doughy in the middle. And the atmosphere is beautiful, quaint, and clean—an old Victorian home converted to a restaurant. Servers are quiet, attentive, and above all, deferential. This place is a gem and coming here feels like visiting another world or going back in time.

Sherpa’s Adventure Restaurant in Boulder was a great experience from start to finish. It was my first time trying this style of food, and everything I ordered was delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
We came in with a large group from Dragons, and the staff was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was smooth, and everyone was friendly and attentive. I would absolutely recommend Sherpa’s and look forward to going back. 10 out of 10.

Excellent food, service, location, outdoor seating and quality for the price! My partner and I both agreed this has been our favorite dinner in a long time. Highly recommend!

This is more of a 4.5 review. The beef momo and Naan were awesome. You could smell and taste the garlic in the crispy Naan, which is fairly rare. Those two items will bring me back.
However, the lamb vindaloo was somewhat watery and not really spicy at all. The lamb was very nice though. The sagg paneer also has an issue with the paneer being just OK, while the spinach really came through in a nice way in the sagg. The chicken momo were fairly tasteless.
Next time different entrees, same appetizers/accompaniments.
