Went for my birthday and had such a wonderful time. I dont recall specific names but every worker was so kind/made me feel special. They even sang happy birthday and brought me dessert! Our chef was very talented, entertaining, and upbeat. Our meals, sushi, and drinks were fantastic as well. I wish I could rate this place 10 stars.

Great food and amazing service! The sushi rolls were perfectly rolled! And our server Lindsey was top notch! She not only was a great server for us, but she went the extra mile for a child who was celebrating their birthday and had lost their gifts. She did everything she could to help the family out and the gift was found! We are frequent customers and we will continue to be. Highly recommended!

We went to diner side of restaurant for early dinner.
What a great time we had. We all picked different dinners and rolls.
The portions were generous and the flavor was full, as were we by the end. Lots of ToGo boxes. The staff was courteous and helpful.
The restaurant is showing it’s age, but don’t let that stop you from eating here.

Ok, when they first opened, the atmosphere was nice, restaurant clean and orderly. The sushi was great and the hibachi food yummy. We just went back for the first time in about 3 years and I was appalled at the clutter and seemingly uncleanliness of the place. When you walk in, you go through a glass door and into a small vestibule and then another glass door. When we walked into the restaurant, the lobby had stuff stacked around it, very cluttered and did not feel clean. Walking through the bar and into the Hibachi area it did not feel clean either. Just felt messy and unkempt. Very unimpressed. It’s time for a refresh or remodel in this restaurant or they’re going to lose business. The Hibachi food was good, we enjoyed it, but the chef seemed ho-hum and not really into it. This type of dining is meant to be entertaining as well as enjoyable and it’s time for Fuji Sushi to step it up and get their restaurant back in order and up to par. For the amount of money you pay to eat there, it’s not worth it until they clean it up and take pride in their restaurant again. Until they do, unfortunately, we won’t be back.

The best hibachi I’ve had in traverse city!
I got the salmon and steak hibachi and it was incredible! Two sauces were offered on the side and our waitress gave us a lot of it. The steak was so tender and the fish was so crispy! Teriyaki glaze was perfect. The portions were huge. I also got the yellow tail jalapeño app and it was so fresh with a nice flavor balance. Good amount of sauces here!
The service was great and they did have a full bar available. Parking was available because the place is in a plaza. Not very well lit, though. Would definitely return!

I’ve been coming here and getting regular take out and I can honesty this is the best around! The quality is just as great when you get take out no matter what it is, and if you dine in and do the Hibachi, oh my gosh. How awesome!! I just went with my father and my 8 year old and all of us had excellent food, our server was great, and the man that cooked our hibachi made it an entire experience! Especially for my daughter, he went out of his way to make her experience special. He was also very kind and made sure she was comfortable whenever there was fire. I cannot say enough great things about this place. You just have to try it for yourself. Even if you just order take out, you will not be disappointed with the food or the spectacular service. 10/10 will recommend!!

The food was good, The people were nice, overall a really good dining experience. A little pricey but worth it, Got an appetizer and sushi with a drink and the whole thing ran me up about $40 for myself.
