New review, very poor food- what happened?? (no pics)
Late breakfast, simple orders of 2-egg omelet for him and ‘small bfast’ 1-pancake for me. He ordered w/out cheese and they put melted fake-cheese on top. My overeasy egg was almost solid, the plain pancake tough; bacon burnt and hard. They replaced the bacon. The piece of cherry pie to go was AWFUL- smelled and tasted like the grill-grease. I don’t plan to return.
Our 1st visit: Not what I expected. Clean, cheerful little local cafe with 50-ish decor was no waiting to be seated, greeted and offered beverages. We had simple egg dishes and other than the huge amount of cheese they were above standard diner-fare, with very good and not greasy home fries. The wait to get our food seemed a bit long for simple no-frills breakfast. We’ll be back- and ask for LIGHT cheese next time!

Waited over 30 minutes to be seated while 8 people were seated ahead of us. When I asked for an ETA I was told it was first come first serve and we kept waiting while they had a lady that was set in a booth for 6+ people and she did not order the whole time she just set there drinking water. So it seems that their Owner is OK with losing money.Between the nasty and rude waitress and the wait times I would not recommend this spot to anyone. Spend your money where its appreciated. I hope the owner adresses this issue but with the way the tall skinny waitress had an attitude and made snide remarks to the other 2 girls behind the counter I would not count on it. They could have at least offered to put 2 tables together for us but continued to sat people ahead of us. Thanks Randy’s glad to see your employees putting customers first.

I was stunned when they made a special iced coffee with whipped cream for our daughter, and item not on the menu! I had the apple walnut french toast and absolutely loved it! We also enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, and Randy’s Lucky 7. Reasonably priced, too. If you’re in the Grand Junction area and looking for breakfast, come here!

Food was tasty, the wait staff are all delightful. The prices were a bit steep, but that’s true everywhere these days. We got pancakes, a club sandwich, and I enjoyed the Monterey chicken sandwich with onion rings. My wife got the country fried steak and enjoyed it.

Service was wonderful, food was ok. Nothing wrong with it, just lacking in flavor. My husband’s breakfast burrito tasted mostly of the tortilla. My sour dough toast was very tasty but also covered with margarine, not sure why they butter your toast for you. The corned beef hash was ok, it was supposed to come with bell peppers and I got maybe a tablespoon of very tiny chopped pepper. My son loved his pancakes, his sausage patties were the most flavorful thing we ordered and they were precooked frozen patties.

Great diner experience. Nice attitude, big portions, a lot of good old fashioned quality cooking. Fun down to earth place. Gotta’ say, on some of the complaints by other reviewers on stuff like finding a dirty utensil in the table setting and other little nit-picky things, gosh, bring your mommy with you to help you sort that kind of issue out! Ask for a new fork sweetie, sometimes the automatic dish wash machines miss some crusted jam
