Reviews
Food was great, i had a himalayan ginger garlic chicken curry, an almond cashew salmon curry, garlic naan and basmati rice.
Service waa solid, was asked multiple times checking in on how found my food. And was available when any requests were needed
Atmosphere was nice, light music and great for casual conversations for a group of people
We walked by the kitchen and saw them hand making their famous Momo dumplings.
Our favorite was Yarsa Chat. Healthy, yummy and layers of flavor. We are going to research how we can make it at home.
We loved the onion kulcha, chili chicken momo (quite spicy!), kathamandu chicken curry, and Himalayan veg tofu curry. The raita was also thick and flavorful. They were busy on a Saturday night and for good reason!
Gorgeous flavours and textures. Great portion
Highly recommended for vegans. Exceptionally kind staff. Great prices too.
We particularly loved the Himalayan Ginger Garlic, Almond Cashew Curry with Tofu and Vegetables.
The Stars of the Show
Chicken Tikka Masala: This classic dish was a creamy revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce struck a perfect balance–rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or sweet. It’s easily one of the best versions I’ve had in the city.
Saag Curry Lamb: A true highlight! The lamb was cooked to perfection, falling apart with gentle pressure. The Saag (spinach) curry itself was deeply savory and earthy, seasoned masterfully to complement the meat. It had a wonderful, comforting depth of flavor.
Sides & Bread Perfection
Yellow Rice with Vegetables: This was a vibrant and flavorful accompaniment. The rice was perfectly cooked–fluffy and separate–and the inclusion of fresh, tender vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) made it a substantive and refreshing side dish.
Garlic Cheese Naan: Absolutely essential! The naan was warm, pillowy, and generously stuffed with melted cheese and fresh garlic. It wasn’t greasy, and the balance of savory garlic and gooey cheese made it irresistible for dipping into the curry sauces.
Overall Verdict
Yarsa Napalese Cuisine delivers an exceptional dining experience. The ingredients taste fresh, the spices are complex and aromatic, and the preparation shows genuine care and expertise. If you’re looking for fantastic Nepalese and Indian classics in San Francisco, look no further. This place is a gem! The service was great ! The waiter was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in. The restaurant.
Highly Recommended Dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Curry Lamb.
We started with the Jomsom Cauliflower appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. For our mains, we enjoyed the ginger garlic curry mixed veggies with tofu, basmati rice, and vegan garlic naan to top it all off. Every single dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared.
What truly made our evening unforgettable, though, was our attentive and thoughtful server. Her kindness and care elevated the entire experience. We’re so grateful for such wonderful service and can’t wait to come back!
