We went in during breakfast time, so we only had their breakfast menu to choose from. We got the French Toast and the Gin Mill Brunch Burger. The Fresh Toast was absolutely delicious. Possibly the best French Toast I’ve ever had. It’s egg battered which is a plus. They also give you plenty of syrup and butter. I got the Gin Mill Brunch Burger because I was craving some burgers, but I didn’t know they had a separate breakfast menu, so I went with the brunch burger, which sounded good. It’s a normal burger but with egg and instead of using regular burger buns, they use a bagel. It also comes with diced hash browns which were very flavorful. As much as I love burgers, this one just wasn’t as good as I hoped. Mainly because of the bagel, which was harder than your typical burger bun. The burger was also lacing some flavor. Our server was also very nice and explained everything to us. The interior is also very nice and has a historic atmosphere with lots of taxidermy.

The onion rings are absolutely to die for! Soooo yummy!! We ordered the basket of onion rings and they were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. Trust me, you’ll thank me later when you order these!

The live band that played that night created such a fantastic atmosphere! They had everyone tapping their feet and the energy in the room was electric. It really elevated our entire evening.

my friend and i both agreed its the BEST burger weve ever had before, super soft texture, cooked perfectly, char grilled, juicy and flavorful…we tried the gin mill burger and a cheeseburger with LTO, and mayo. we both preferred the regular cheeseburger, but the actual meat of both was just incredible. I will get a burger anytime I am in town, very impressive. the spinach artichoke dip tasted awful. not enough cheese or spices, bland but with the taste of canned or old spinach/artichoke. not a fresh taste, not good at all. the chili was very good. curly fries- meh. bland, hard texture, dry. The beer battered fish fry had a nice soft texture with a crunchy crisp batter , and was skinless which was great, but it was very bland and flavorless, the batter had no flavor other than oil. The tartar sauce was good though. Onion rings have a nice crisp batter on them and were pretty good, the blue cheese to dip them in was also good.

Seating, service, and food were quick. Good variety of options. Clean restroom. Central location. Had the gin mill weck and would recommend. Salt and vinegar chips could have been more flavored. Sandwich was delicious but was $17 and came with a little handful of chips out of a bag.

it was our first time there, there was a long line outside waiting to get in for lunch. we waited as well, 1/2 an hr wasn’t too bad. we stopped in a couple of shops next door. when we finally sat down, we noticed the place was packed, a band started to play, and the atmosphere was on a high note. our food was delicious, it came out hot and not a long wait. o e of our glasses of water spilled, water, and ice cubes all over the table. we got the waitresses’ attention, and she came over with some napkins and said, ..here, put this on it, and I’ll get it later. it kind of put a damper on what was a great lunch and experience. All in all, the
food was good, and we will definitely be back. Always willing to give a place a second chance.
