We loved the Sugar Rush Platter, which was perfect if you’re craving something sweet. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly and very satisfying. But the absolute favorite was the spicy avocado toast—so flavorful and perfectly balanced with just the right kick!
Great food, great vibe, and definitely a place I would come back to for brunch in Sugar Land. Highly recommend! ☕
It was very busy which can be good or bad. Parking is ample. The restaurant itself is small so it feels very crowded and it’s very loud. Definitely not a spot to have a quiet 1-1.
The food was average as well. It wasn’t bad but I also wouldn’t say it was the best food I ever had. Really the two complaints I have about the food we ordered was the chilaquiles and the lattes.
The chilaquiles had a good flavor but the tortilla chips they use are completely the wrong ones. They use very think chips that are basically soggy when they come out. The tortilla chips are on the cheaper side and pretty sure it’s a cost cutting measure instead of a chef decision. If they switched to a higher quality tortilla chip they would be a lot better. Also as a side note, they brought me some chilaquiles that where complete wrongly made, I wasn’t going to say anything but then they brought me the right plate, so not sure if perhaps they messed up and brought me someone else’s order first by accident but I am glad they corrected their mistake without me having to say anything.
The lattes we ordered were not made well at all. There was no frothed milk and it seamed as if it was mostly the espresso with some water and maybe a touch of milk. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the lattes. It was also disappointing to see that we ordered 2 lattes and each one was a different measurement. One cup was basically halfway full while the other was almost to the top. That I just don’t understand. They should take a little more time to try to present their food items with a little more care.
Everything else we ate was decent.
Another issue was the service. It’s not that they were rude or non attentive (which at time it felt that way) but they are so busy that the waiter had to be doing multiple things at once. We had to wait a while for drink refills and the food came out after about 25 minutes.
Because of this it also feels unfair to be charged gratuity. It makes you feel like they won’t try because they know they’re going to get a large tip anyways.
I would also suggest that if your party is more than 4 people I would look elsewhere. The place is just too small to feel comfortable with a big table. We were 5 adults and 2 kids and there was barely enough room.
To end on a positive note, the pancakes and waffles were good and I would order those again, but that’s about it. I’m not a huge dessert style breakfast person, but they do have a large variety of pancakes and waffles and donuts that I would try if I wasn’t trying to be mindful of what I ate.
