This place is awesome! My friend and I came in from Houston and I wanted good pizza and this is where we came! We got the pepperoni and the barbecue chicken and it did not disappoint. The place is super cute and plays great music. Slices are huge!

Had couple of slices of pizza, so just ordered at the counter and then sat down. I had one slice each of pepperoni and pesto chicken. They were alright. Place wasn’t busy at lunch time on Sunday. Slices are 7 bucks each. Drinks are 4 bucks each.

GREAT HANGOUT SPOT & FRIENDLY SERVICE! Stopped by during SDCC and it was a perfect spot for grabbing a quick bite before heading back to the trolley on my way home. I got two slices of pizza and a water, the prices weren’t too high and the food came out quickly!
There’s a full bar and authentic Italian vibe to the place. I appreciated the efficiency of the girl running the counter, taking orders, and serving drinks. My only issue was the restroom, it was very dirty and unkept.
Pizza on 5th is in the heart of downtown SD and is not too far from the hotels and clubs in the area.

The food was delicious We ordered the calamari appetizer- it was tender and tasty with two dipping options and lemon; a Greek salad which was perfect – lots of feta and olives and large; and a 16 in pizza with sausage, green peppers and olives- very flavorful. Alonza our server was attentive, courteous, and friendly. Atmosphere was ok.

Walking down 5th Avenue, I decided to try a slice here & it really delivered. The flavors were bold, the crust nicely cooked & the portion sizes generous. It’s perfect for anyone craving pizza gaslamp San Diego, especially if you’re already exploring the nightlife. I love that they’re among the few Italian restaurants open late, which makes it a dependable stop. Their slices have that great New York pizza San Diego feel—simple, big and delicious. Anyone searching for pizza downtown San Diego should definitely give this place a shot. To me, it easily ranks as one of the best pizza in downtown.

Nice pasta and pizza. Old looking dining area but the outdoor sitting is nice.

This spot became an instant favorite for me. The pizza has excellent flavor, and the crust is exactly how I like it—crispy yet soft enough to fold. Anyone looking for pizza gaslamp San Diego will appreciate how easy and fast it is here.
They’re one of the few Italian restaurants open late, which makes it even better. I’m a big fan of New York pizza San Diego style and these slices definitely match that feel. For pizza downtown San Diego, especially along 5th Avenue, this place should be on your list. I’d even call it one of the best pizza in downtown.

I stopped here after walking around the Gaslamp area, and the pizza honestly surprised me. The crust was perfectly crisp, the cheese had great flavor & the sauce tasted fresh. If you’re looking for pizza downtown San Diego, this spot on 5th Avenue is definitely worth checking out. I love that it’s one of the Italian restaurants open late, which makes it perfect after a long day. The slices remind me a lot of New York pizza San Diego style—big, tasty & satisfying. It’s also super convenient if you want pizza near Petco Park, especially before or after a game. For me personally, this place easily fits into the “best pizza in downtown” category.
