I came on the Saturday evening of this bars ugly sweater party and biweekly karaoke competition. I didn’t want to sit on my phone at a bar because what is the point of being alone in a group setting?
While the bar remained safe from my rendition of Iron Maiden’s the trooper, a wide variety of fun renditions of throwback songs for elder millennials were there to be applauded.
The employee administering the holiday sweater party sponsored by Coors made everyone feel welcome whether they had donned an appropriate sweater or not. So did the very nice bartender, who you should speak directly at while ordering. Read the rules when you come in.
By the way Malört is a delicious drink, and there’s some sort of ironic humor in how the bar is presenting it. You should definitely take a shot, and ignore any warnings the staff gives you about it because you will never forget the flavor in a good way

Amazing bar experience if you enjoy the eclectic/Gothic style. Has nostalgic games, retro video/arcade games, karaoke every night, and plenty of specials along with wonderfully friendly and fun staff. Was a wonderful unexpected surprise to discover.

This place and the crowd and the food and most of the staff is awesome. However, the woman working behind the first floor bar last night, was an absolute see you next Tuesday. I’ve never met anyone so incredibly rude and condescending. I sat at the bar and watched her berate nearly all her customers to some degree. We did not return after the show we saw at CCMH because of her and her alone.

JB Lovedraft’s Micropub is easily one of the coolest spots in Harrisburg. The atmosphere is laid-back but still lively, with a great mix of people and a welcoming vibe. Whether you’re there to grab a craft beer, catch live music, or just hang out with friends, it hits every time.
The beer selection is impressive — tons of craft options, rotating taps, and something for every taste. The food is surprisingly good too, especially if you’re into comfort-style bar food done right. Staff is friendly, quick, and actually seem like they enjoy being there.
It’s one of those places you can go for a chill night or end up staying way longer than you planned. Definitely a staple in the Harrisburg bar scene.

Great vibe, loved spinning the wheel. Didn’t play any, but the video games on the TVs in the booths were cool. Def gonna check those out next time. Not a smoker but upstairs is the smoking bar and they had some arcade type games up there. Rly sick atmosphere

Been here off and on.. more visits recently. Always a great atmosphere, staff is chill: and you don’t have to worry about judgement.
As an introvert, this bar is a great vibe.

Excellent place for beer downtown – I really liked the server on the first floor and honestly am sad that both the York and Mechanicsburg locations closed – there’s a certain charm to the bar here that feels unique and I couldn’t recommend it more as a casual experience! I’m pretty sure they have more than one floor(?) and the 2nd floor looks to be a smoking area – but there’s also games and etc up there. Definitely a strong recommendation!

Great brewpub in the city. It has a very unique style but don’t let that influence your decision to give it a try. They have a huge selection of beer and cocktails. The bartenders on the ground floor were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We didn’t eat, but the food poured out of the back the entire time we were there and it looked amazing. They have live entertainment on weekends and karaoke a few times a week. Ground floor has retro video games at the tables. Second floor has skills machines and a smoking bar. Didn’t make it up to the third level.

JB Lovedrafts is a MUST to stop in at. The drink menu is phenomenal (I stick to cocktails, but their beer list is HUGE). Their food is so good for the price. Whenever I’m in town, I always make sure to stop here for an incredible time.
