It is a nice cafe, but not a grab and go place.
Espresso was average and room temperature by the time it arrived.
In the end it was probably the best breakfast croissant I’ve ever had. Super good. Flaky, buttery and the perfect amount of eggs to meat to cheese.
Food was ok. Similar to what you get from a back street run down cafe in NYC on the go. Croissants were dry and coffee was watered down- don’t order house coffee.
Service was good. They served our drinks in to go cups while we were dining in. Besides that, they were courteous and helpful enough.
Interior is run down and old with no views on the river. Outside seating is available.
Given it’s a touristy place, no regulars are there, so there is no culture among the customers. Maybe it was our luck, but the crowd during our visit were fairly rude rushing us out of our seats with looks and words alike to be seated.
Decent experience for us as tourists. Nothing exceptional though.
The croissant breakfast sand which was perfect. Fluffy warm flaky bread, perfectly cooked eggs and melty cheese. I had ham on it too. Had a great breakfast and wasn’t too big. Would come back again and recommend!
A man did go back to get me a clean mug and was so very nice.
Stopped in for brunch at Café M and tried their all-new croissant club with turkey and Swiss. I swapped the chips for a fruit cup. The sandwich comes cold, but I highly recommend asking for it toasted—the warm Swiss with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes was absolutely delicious.
I had my eye on the bottomless mimosas or a fall cocktail, but alcohol sales don’t start until 11 a.m., so maybe next time. Don’t go if you’re in a hurry—the food is made to order, and there’s literally a sign saying so. Worth the wait though.
The staff were friendly and polite, and the space was cozy and pleasant to sit in. As I was leaving, the owner Christine thanked me for the pop in visit and mentioned locals get a discount.
Go, enjoy, relax, and sip the coffee.
