Our family’s favorite spot for gorditas! They are super delicious and always worth the wait. The wait time can take a little while, but that’s only because they make everything fresh right there, and it shows in the taste. We had the mole con pollo, rajas (my favorite), and beans & cheese, and every single one was amazing. We absolutely love this place and highly recommend it!

Food is great when they make what you actually order. Dont bother ordering on Uber eats if its within the last couple hours of them being open, they will give you anything but what you ask for to get it out of the door. Regardless of paying for extras. Convenient for them since I cant call to pick up my actual order now. This is not the first, or even the second time theyve done it either. Its definitely a habit for them, and something they do frequently.

I am going to imply the owner of this restaurant/franchise has never had her own mother or wife or loved one suffer from cancer, because at this place instead of having the meat stews they serve inside a stainless steel pan, and then washing the pans at the end of the day, like all other restaurant do, instead they put a super thin plastic bag liner inside the pan, and then they put the food insde the hot pan, ON TOP OF THE PLASTIC! essentially serving their customers a high potency cocktail of PFAS, BPA’s and tons of other carcinogens which leeches over from the hot plastic liner into the food, they do this because without the plastic liner the pan will get dirty and as the food goes down in level inside the pan, the sauce dries on the walls of the pan and forms a crust, so with the plastic liner they no longer have to wash the pans at the expense of literally giving their customers a huge dose of carcinogens! according to the NCI right now 40.5% of all Americans Will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives, and that number is only going to grow, so shame on the owner of this gorditas doña tota restaurant for knowingly and willingly be poisoning people, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DON’T WANT TO WASH PANS! shame on you!

I was so excited to try this place, as I had been before in a different city. However, once I received my food I was very disappointed. The amount they put of papas con chorizo was the size of a tablespoon. If they were out of the product why not just let us know instead of not serving a decent portion. Also disappointed with the fact that there was NO SOAP in the restroom. How is this restaurant being clean and hygienic if they can’t even provide soap and makes me wonder if the employees even wash their hands? Don’t recommend visiting this location at least.

The atmosphere is basic, and that’s fine. Let’s talk about the food. We had 4 different flavors, chicharon, carne asada, pollo en mole and picadillo, plus I had a small fideo loco.
The pollo en mole, have mercy. That will be my go to. I love how simple meals can be the most satisfying and flavorful. The fideo was fantastic. This will be a regular stop.

No Recommendations for this location!! New Review Update: July 21st, 2023: disappointed in service and location. Big fan of Doña Tota as they’ve been good for the 2 years I’ve had them but this location the employees tend to have attitude or on this occasion (twice this week) give us a annoyed/disgusted look when we walked in and were looking at the menu. Will not return unfortunately as we felt unwelcome. Also we came in on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at 7 pm (2 hrs before close) and they were out of items and such. This is typical of this location or to cancel your orders online 30 mins prior to closing.

They offer such a variety of fillings for your gordita, all which will not dissappoint. It is a small, looks like mainly carryout but dine in tables available, gordita Mexican restaurant. Alejandra took our order and packaged it for us and she, along with the two other women working, were helpful and very prompt. Doña Tota also offers delivery through outside delivery services if you need it delivered. Great place, wonderful food! Recommend!

Very tasty! Shown is a beans & cheese, pork, and beef. Their salsas are kept warm, and are medium on the spicy scale (in my opinion). I came on a Tuesday and they had any 3 tortas and a drink for $8.49. I recommend trying this restaurant!
