We decided to give this place a try again since they partnered with IHop to say the least still extremely disappointing. To start off with being sat we told them table for 4, we were given 4 menus and only 2 sets of silverware. We ordered an app trio the pub pretzels and beer cheese were awful. Too much salt, to the point where you could barely see the pretzel and the cheese comes served cold. The burger was less than desirable and looked nothing like the picture in the menu. The cheese wasn’t even melted on top of it. More toppings than meat. We also got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Supposed to come with grilled shrimp and it came out with fried. I was only informed they were out of grilled shrimp when they delivered it to the table. I don’t do fried shrimp and for the server not to inform you before the food comes out was a lack in their service department for sure. The mashed potatoes that came with the meal clearly looked like a frozen log straight from the freezer and had no flavor whatsoever. Mashed potatoes aren’t that hard to make and fresh is always better. We should have known better than to visit a chain restaurant. Way too many corners cut to save a buck and they really don’t seem to care all that much about their product and what they put out. I did ask to speak to a manager and she comped the bourbon street chicken meal. But even she said herself that if she had seen the plate and the way it looked she wouldn’t have sent it. Tho I’m not sure I believe that. Communication is key with your customers to keep repeat business and the lack of it they have at this place I’m surprised they’re still open. Do they have anyone expediting for them? Do they have any kind of quality control? Do they have any respect for the business and the food they put out??? In all honesty I’m only leaving one star because it won’t let me leave a zero star rating.

To save other Poplar Bluff residents some money, take the advice when people say don’t go to Applebee’s/IHOP. We went the other day just to try it out, and it was a big waste.
When we arrived, it took 22 minutes for a server to come take our drink order. We already knew what we wanted, so we ordered right away, but then waited another 19 minutes just to receive our drinks. The server explained she was waiting on the bartender, but the woman making drinks was constantly going back and forth from the kitchen. I’m guessing she was a manager, yet she seemed more focused on yelling at the kitchen staff. When I say yelling, I mean the entire restaurant went quiet because everyone could hear her.
Our food didn’t take much longer to arrive, but it was dry, cold, and disappointing. Honestly, it tasted like instant breakfast from Walmart. Despite the small portions and poor quality, our total came to $52, which completely shocked us.
For the price, the experience was not worth it at all. I would not recommend IHOP if you’re looking to spend that much money on just two plates—especially when those plates had nothing going for them.

I went in for my first time and ended up going thru the wrong door. A server kindly let me and my significant other know where to go. We got sat down almost immediately. Very soon afterwards our server Jacob arrives. With a very friendly and professional attitude he quickly introduced himself and asked us the “normal” service questions. We gave him our order after we got our drinks. He found out something I wanted i could not get so he swiftly came out explained and had a solution ready. It took a moment to get the food but it was overall worth the wait.

Nothing worse than someone sweeping the dust up while your eating. Service was. Very slow. The only thing good I can say is our waiter was very nice. Food was ok but warm not hot.

We just had the best service we’ve had in a long time here. Our waiters name was Shawn and he was amazing. The food was good came out hot and in a timely manner. All in all it was a great experience.

Service Sucks it is extremely slow. They were not that busy and took an extremely long time to get drinks. We even ordered food at the same time. Thought that they were short on staff but they kept popping up from the back. They were relying on one person. Everyone else was not helping the one waiter. I tried to excuse it because they were short handed but several employees came out of the back. Talked to the only one waiting on tables they informed us several people had quit but the person seating us only did that no help at all. He keep walking around not doing anything but seating guests. He did say he would get us drinks but never did our waiter took our order and brought them over. Seems our waiter this place just sucks. Therefore, over an hour and just got drinks.

I honestly would give this no stars. The waitresses literally walked around and did nothing. We placed our order and sat over a hour before we asked about our food. They said it was done but she wasn’t “allowed” to get it because it wasn’t her “job” someone else had to bring it to us.. we then waited 20 more minutes and decided to just leave.
The manager needs to fix the workers doing nothing. It was ridiculous the amount of people working there and not any of them working, AND three waitresses using the restroom at the same time is crazy.
Do better. IHOP is a wonderful addition, but not with service like this.

Waited over an hour to get our food just for it to come out burnt and cold at the same time which makes no sense… wasted over an hour for burnt ribs, cold mashed potatoes, and instead of broccoli with cheese sauce, we were given cold raw broccoli, with shredded cheese on top!!! Big disappointment and waste of time!!!! This place is a complete joke!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!

Haven’t had a chance to try this place since they reopened. And still haven’t. Went by last night and the parking lot was a sheet of nice, thick ice. I wasn’t worried about driving on it, but I sure didn’t want to try to walk on it! Did check their FB page to leave a comment. It’s no wonder they don’t want any reviews there!

Felicia was our server. She was attentive and very helpful. It was overall a nice experience. We shared a breakfast and had plenty for us both.
