Awesome spot!
The fish and chips was fantastic (there’s no shellfish in the restaurant, so it was also safe to eat if you have a shellfish allergy).
The Sunday roast was also delicious, and the horseradish aoli delightful.
Aisling was our waitress, and she was fantastic.
Prices are very reasonable. We will be back.

Good value! The family went here as our first stop in Boston after being in Vermont for three days. So happy to finally have some good food .

I would recommend the old fashioned all day. The pretzel bites were on point and the cheese was great. You will have cheese left over, pro tip, save it for your fires which were awesome.

The wife and boy got chicken fingers and they were cooked perfectly. Crispy outside and juicy on the inside.

The atmosphere is what you want from an Irish Pub in Boston.

The food here is fresh, savory, and perfect alongside a beer. The atmosphere is a classic Irish pub that can be a bit too loud when crowded. The service is not great, our food and drinks were messed up twice and we got served the wrong order. The fish and chips is the signature dish here and I recommend.

Great British restaurant tucked away in downtown Boston. Always a great meal and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking it out. The hidden gem on the menu is the slumdog, a very unique and delicious take to a hotdog.

They have a lot American selection on the menu to choose from, I got their dip sandwich, which was plenty to have. The meat was dry yet tender, and lacked a bit of the flavor but the dipping sauce helped. We sat here as a group for lunch, our server make sure that we were able to get everything that we needed.

After walking the city looking for a bar to watch the World Series, I found Elephant & Castle glowing warm against the night. The staff were kind and set me right next to a TV. My waiter showed real hospitality, checking in often without overdoing it. The food was great and the crowd made the game even better.

They hated the Dodgers so much they started cheering for the Blue Jays instead, which honestly made the night more entertaining.

Praise the Pub.

I came to try the poutine, which was delicious. It is a slightly different style than I’m used to; the cheese curds are diced into smaller pieces. It all came together wonderfully even though I probably prefer whole curds. The steak-cut fries were a great fit for the dish.

The atmosphere of this establishment is incredibly cozy. My only minor complaint has to do with the service. While my food came out very quickly, it took a while for someone to seat me and to get a check.

I will be back!

Just looking for a reasonable priced quick place near the theatre district.
Wow. Pub atmosphere, but 2 people for a meal for $40 in downtown.
Full English breakfast was just that. 19 bucks for a filling, delicious breakfast
My companion had the Sunday roast for 17, and it looked great. She loved it and it looked great. This is a back pocket location for my next theatre visit.

I came to Boston for the first time and stumbled upon this restaurant located near my hotel.I had an amazing chicken slider and a lychee margarita. Our waiter Dylan made the experience super smooth and we were very pleased with his service. The atmosphere was also a plus! So recommendable.

Stopped into E&C for the first time today! I had a quick lunch and it was delicious! I ordered the fish & chips entrée (subbed out fries for mashed potatoes) The fried fish filet was piping hot with a perfect light crispy batter! The tartar sauce was delicious too! The mashed potatoes were not warm but I still ate them! They put crispy French fried onions on top of the mashed potatoes. Delicious!

There weren’t many patrons in the restaurant. I arrived around 100pm and was 10 minutes early for my reservation. The hostess at the front desk greeted me with a smile and brought me right over to a table. She also grabbed water for me. It took awhile for me to be acknowledged by a server though. Perhaps they were in between a shift switch. I wasn’t in a rush anyway, so I wasn’t bothered by it. When my server came over, she was very friendly and checked in on me a few times during the course of my meal. Overall I felt the food, prices and service were all reasonable. A few things could use minor improvements, but overall I enjoyed it. I will definitely return a second time as they have a great menu and I’d like to try other items on their menu!

The restaurant is within easy short walking distance of the Orange/Blue line State Street T station.
