I love Shwack burgers in Dana Point! They are always made to perfection. This patty is grilled perfectly, softest bun, melted cheese and packed with lettuce & tomato. We always like to say when we go to shwacks “let’s go get burger salads” since they are so fresh tasting. The spuds are amazing too especially with their jalapeño ranch dip. I want to like this place, but every experience is mediocre at best, from the lack of friendliness of the kids that wait on you, to the mediocre food. My recent cheese burger had a piece of wax paper in the burger, I’m assuming from the slice of cheese they used. Lord only knows. Just not impressed.

Absolutely loved this place! 1st time at the restaurant and we started with a very friendly staff member named Elizabeth. The cooks smiled and seemed to enjoy their work environment. The food was GREAT! We ordered the Mahi burgers, shrimp tacos without tortillas on a bed of cabbage( custom built), and the island chicken sandwich. We are not locals, but will be back when in town

Had a good meal at The Shwack Beach Grill, but it wasn’t exceptional. The food was tasty, but the portion sizes seemed a bit smaller than expected. The fish tacos were good, but I’ve had better. The service was friendly, though, and the beachside location was beautiful.

I stopped by Schwack Burger and it was seriously good. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with high quality ingredients you can taste in every bite. This is real, no-nonsense comfort food done right.

Good food, great prices, terrible seating. You really can beat this beach shack for lunch or just something casual but during summer, it can be a mess trying to get seated. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you but most people camp out so may be eating your food on the curb out front.

Schwak making money by not completing fully paid orders!
Again our orders were not complete. No one answers the phone there.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED Schwack?
Was that your 3rd string working?
Food was HORRIBLE!!!
Did not receive every thing ordered and paid for. Didn’t find out till we got back to work (Providence Hsp). Didn’t have time to go back to return the un-edible food and ask for a refund for the items not received
DO BETTER SCHWACK. Your loyal customers deserve better than what we received on this visit.
Hopefully next time we can give a better review.

Wow the food is something special here. I can’t with to explore more from the menu.
The Vegi burger was delicious and had lots of fresh flavors. The fries were wedge cut and very tasty – Highly recommend asking for an Extra dipping sauce: 1 because it’s delicious and 2 you can also put it on your burger for some added jazz!
