Classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. Soup and salad impressed me from the start. Broccoli cheddar had a hint of a fishy taste but in the best way, maybe made with clam? The house salad was also very good, left a little more to be desired. We got the chicken parm and pork tenderloin Marsala….The pork was spectacular, creamy and garlicky. Potatoes were nice and everything was salted. Chicken parm was good as well. Very nice portion in the chicken parm, elite level spaghetti. Got a shrimp bruschetta to go! Service was a little slow, can’t tell if it was the kitchen or staff, but it was worth the 40 minute wait! Would come back if I’m back in town. 4.4/5

Our dinner was delicious! Very cozy and an intimate setting-love the interior decor and vibes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. If in Pocatello Idaho, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some delish Italian food!!
We ordered the Chicken Piccata with fresh vegetables/potatoes & the other one with Risotto! Also ordered the Huckleberry Lemonade which was a good cocktail. The entrees came with soup or salad. The salads were decent.

They have HEALTHY and quality salad potential here; I asked for all spinach base with the salmon (juicy and tender) salad; added avocado and added extra veggies (no charge, ever!). I used lemon and a touch of their dressing for nutrient and flavor perfection.
5 star review pending when they make the restroom match the rest of the restaurant atmospheric quality.
They have zero whole grains in the whole restaurant except potatoes offered only at dinner. 95% of Americans don’t meet the minimum whole grain recommendations. I want to Jakers for a baked potato.
Pro tip: food is in the mount for only a short time before spending a long time in the body through digestion. Let it spend a little longer there, especially places like this. I just learned that starchy veggies (corn, green peas, potatoes) and grains taste sweeter the longer you chew, because saliva breaks down and quickly releases the sugars in the starch.
The back room has a great atmosphere—so does the bar and the sun room adjacent to it. Walk around, and find your favorite painting!
Enjoy!

Ate here just before closing on a Thursday night. We were greeted quickly and directed to our seats. The soups were seriously amazing! The tritip was decent and the desserts tasty. It was quiet when we went. We would definitely eat here again!

As a New Yorker I’m very picky with Italian food. This place is so good I went two nights in a row. The crab stuffed halibut was fantastic. The lasagna had a wonderful flavor. Get both. I loved their house salad with olives and balsamic. The cannolis were not traditional but very tasty. They had a cinnamon cream instead of cannoli filling but I still enjoyed them. Leah is a wonderful kind and attentive waitress. She really made the whole experience wonderful. The decor is very unique. You can sit in a room with art or next to a view of the sand garden with sculptures. There is a full bar in the restaurant also.

Every time I am in Pocatello, I make a point to stop at Cafe Tuscano. They have made so many improvements over the years and I am impressed by all of them. With all the hotels, and attractions around and easy access from the freeway, it makes this almost a no-brainer as a stop for an amazing Italian dinner. There are plenty of seating options both in the restaurant and improved lounge and I have never had to wait for a seat. There is plenty of space for families and couples alike. The wine offerings are world-wide and the parings are all clearly identified on the menu. The food choices are plentiful without being overwhelming. Highly recommend the crawfish bisque and the crab stuffed halibut (pictured). We were so impressed in how everything was cooked, we had to comment on how well the finest details of the dishes were attended to. Crispy vegetables still with a crunch, flaky and moist fish, spices at exceptional levels. We were told the head chef also teaches at the local college! We were well fed and felt like family the whole time. Can’t wait for out next trip to Pocatello and Cafe Tuscano.

Café Tuscano is an absolute gem – a true delight for the senses! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive without being intrusive, making the meal all the more enjoyable.
Now, let’s talk about the food – simply exquisite. I had the crayfish bisque, and it was nothing short of divine: rich, velvety, and bursting with flavor. Each spoonful was a perfect balance of creamy indulgence and delicate seafood notes. Every detail, from presentation to taste, reflected thoughtful culinary craftsmanship.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a refined yet welcoming place to savor an unforgettable meal. Café Tuscano delivers on every level – a must-visit!

Olivia was our server and she was amazing, so friendly, courteous and professional. Took our wife’s for their birthdays here for lunch, had a great time. Atmosphere was cozy and it was a great spot to talk and enjoy each others company.

Mid meal. It was close to our hotel so it was convenient. Food was so so, but our server was very nice. My son loved his gouda Mac n cheese and my other son liked his ravioli. The chicken piccata was only ok. I did not really enjoy my saltimboca. Crayfish bisque had great flavor but was a bit thick.

The dish arrived complete, but we were charged extra for the sauce and the meat, in addition to the entrée. This wasn’t clear when ordering and affects the overall experience. It should be explained upfront.
