Putting out good food is only part of the experience, and this day was a hard fail. We got a couple of sweet pork bowls and a barbacoa quesadilla to go. They put the largest (but lightest) quesadilla on the bottom and the two (much heavier) bowls on top. By the time we got home, the plastic top for the quesadilla was crushed and the side of hot sauce was all over the bottom of my pan, making the “freshly made” tortilla a soggy mess. Meat was good and guac and hot sauce also tasty. But if you’re going to charge $6 for a side of guac, it needs to be more than an ounce.

My last pet peeve is a menu that is very difficult to read unless you’re standing right in front of it. The Lone Tree location we’ve visited many times over the last few years has a huge menu on the wall as you’re standing in line.

Gripes aside, the food continues to be excellent. The in house made tortillas are a cut above the other buritto guys, and service is fast. Ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Value is decent at $38 for three hearty meals.

We will be back and pack our own to go bag.

I came here solely because Chipotle is closed. It was my first time ever being here. I arrived around 11:10 AM or so, and had a very bizarre experience. Staff were at their stations but not prepared. I ordered a burrito bowl and after some discussion about tortillas, then the. had to go search in the back for cooking utensils.

After about 5 minutes of confusion, the manager then told that I would have to wait another 6-7 minutes “for the oven to turn on.” She then asked “you good with that?” as if to assume that I was willing to hang around. I thought that it was slightly rude to assume that I would wait around for this oven and God knows what else.

I asked about the purpose of the oven, since I’m only ordering a burrito bowl. Manager states “oh it’s just so we can kinda melt everything together. Ya know?” Unfortunately I do not.

I never wanted my burrito or bowl in an oven, I just wanted to receive food in exchange for legal tender. I understand that things happen but I just felt very lost and neglected throughout this process. Very poor communication from the staff today. I am more confused than I am upset.

Unfortunately I ended up walking out before I could get my tortilla warmed up (they had to go find a spatula). I was scared to agree to the next step of the oven, because maybe then there would be another delay or problem I’d have to deal with. I was literally afraid to stay in this store any longer. Very very strange and disappointing experience.

Andrew and Alina were awesome, their service and politeness were top notch! The food was delicious and the restaurant had ample seating. Only complaints were that it was cold for the wintertime and that quite a few tables were dirty. We will be back!

Before visiting here we called what we thought was the local phone number but it actually was for the corporate office. At times, it would be nice to be able to speak to someone local. The food was good (enchilada entree) and it was a lot of food. It was fresh. As you order, it’s hard to hear the employees due to what seems to be an echo and the loud music. They were friendly, they are hard to hear. The place did look very clean.

It was good, but everything tasted sweet. The grilled chicken smothered burrito, the lettuce, the tomatoes, the roasted green chile salsa: all sweet tasting. It had this sugary taste to it.

We ordered take out and it was very disappointing. I ordered a grilled chicken salad, no cheese or rice, beans and tortilla on the side. I have ordered this salad many times and today was very disappointing. The amount of guacamole was a tablespoon size and was mostly made up of the bad parts of an avocado when it is old and going bad. Usually the amount of guacamole is three times that amount and delicious. After my husband got home, we noticed the tortilla was missing. Missing the tortilla has happened before also. I will think twice before getting Costa Vida again.

6-16-25. I want to update this review. After I posted it, the manager contacted me on how Costa Vida can make it right. They gave me a free meal and it was done correctly and delicious. My husband and I have gone back several more times, twice to eat in and three times for take out. All of our meals were correct. Thank you Costa Vida. Five stars on all.

Quick, and good Mexican style food. I felt like I was at a sit-down family mexican restaurant, but this was fast. The sweet pork is really sweet, in my opinion, but flavorful. Customer service was very helpful.
