My only major complaint is the to go experience. The whole process feels like a complete different restaurant. Takes forever for anyone to answer the phone, the staff is always short and nonchalant like the only reason they work there is because they know someone etc. But all that I can excuse my main problem is CHECK your BAG every single time! They always mess up your order on to go. Missing items, made the wrong burger, everything. Last time we ordered the A1 burger and got home and we got a plain meat and cheese only?!?!
They drastically need to overhaul the to go experience then they’d be the perfect burger restaurant.
Well once we arrived, we were told to wait to be served. I get it, slow Sunday and had time to discuss things with employees. However, six minutes until we were properly informed about how to order. This was my first time here. While we were waiting and trying to enjoy our food, the manager was belittling a young worker about mixing up the unsweetened and sweet tea spouts rudely in front of us and threatened the girl with “I’m going to sick Benny on you. You know old people can’t tell the difference between the teas.” I’m paraphrasing here, but it was so loud, we could do nothing but overhear. I witnessed the young black girl look like she was on the brink of crying. This wasn’t the only instance of the manager yelling and being demanding, which soured our experience in an already dimly environment.
We, unfortunately, will support another business that doesn’t mistreat their employees like trash in front of customers. The burger grind has great menu options but the hostility towards mistakes employees make really grinded our gears.
I honestly don’t know how this experience could’ve gone any worse. I ordered FOUR burgers — three customized All-Americans + one jalapeño bacon cheeseburger — plus nachos.
Here’s what actually happened:
• Only THREE burgers showed up — one All-American was missing entirely.
• The two All-Americans I received were completely wrong — just a dry patty and cheese, none of the toppings I paid for.
• The jalapeño bacon burger was the only thing made correctly.
• Pickup was a mess — they told the person picking up that the order wasn’t paid for, despite me paying online.
• I selected the option for every burger to be cut in half — they ignored that completely.
• All this while prices are nearly $14 PER BURGER — no fries, no drink, nothing included.
And then the worst part:
When I came back for a refund, the restaurant refused to process it in-store because I ordered online. I had to call Menufy, wait for them to contact the restaurant, and then maybe get my money back through email later. That whole runaround made me miss my entire lunch break, and I had to order food from somewhere else just so I could actually eat today.
So I paid premium prices for missing food, wrong food, a pickup hassle, and a refund nightmare — AND still left hungry. Completely unacceptable. I will never be back
