Stopped into New York Pizza Pasta & Subs at 10009 N MacArthur Blvd #121 and was genuinely impressed. The moment you step inside, it actually feels like a New York pizza spot casual, no-nonsense and focused on the food.
The pizza delivers exactly what you want from a New York–style place: a solid crust, generous toppings and the right balance of sauce and cheese. The photo I posted says it all, loaded with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms, baked evenly, served hot and no skimping anywhere. No soggy middle and the crust holds up slice after slice.
Service was friendly and efficient and the overall vibe matched the food, straightforward and done right. If you’re in Irving and want pizza that actually feels and tastes like a New York pizza restaurant, this place is worth the stop.

Seeing the owner personally greet everyone and take the time to make people feel welcome says everything about the heart behind this restaurant.

My aunt and I came out to eat and had a phenomenal experience! It’s normally pretty dark in the restaurant which is apart of the mood. A lot of the time if we got to a restaurant we’ll have to use our phone flash light to see the menu and this absolutely sweetheart, our waiter Danny. Brought over the cutest lamp to help us see it was greatly appreciated.

• Chicken Parmigiana: Classic breaded chicken topped with their signature tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, usually served with a side of spaghetti.
• Seafood Specialties: Surprisingly high-end options like Linguini with Clams (red or white sauce) and Shrimp Scampi.
Subs & Strombolis
• Hot Subs: They do the classics like the Philly Steak Sandwich and Meatball Parmigiana on fresh-baked bread.
• Strombolis & Calzones: If you want that pizza flavor but in a portable “pocket” form, their Strombolis are loaded with meats and cheese.

Love the lunch specials! The chicken parm with angel hair pasta and veggies was outstanding! The bread was especially tasty today. Service is great and we are welcomed each time we eat there. The pizza is our go-to take out. They also have a full bar. Perfect neighborhood Italian fare.

Came here with my family. My wife had the tortellini soup and salad. She really liked her food. I had a NY canzone. Was very good. My son had a slice of meat lovers pizza and a slice of stuffed pizza. Too much for him to eat. The crust on the pizza was a little thick as compared to true NY pizza. However tasted good. Highly recommend this place. Will be back.

Both times I tried their non-custom pizza small and large. Both times were underwhelming especially my second visit. It seems their crust is more on the thinner side now and a little more doughy in the center which I don’t prefer. The pizza sauce is there but I can’t taste it so it just tastes like cheesy doughy bread.

Our church groups of 10-12 meet here every Sunday after Sunday School for a great social meal together. I’m a fan of the margarita pizza and one slice is great for me. You go through the line and they have a tremedous variety of food, moderately priced, so people of different dietary requirements can find something. The staff is so friendly we feel its like “Cheers”. Lots of TVs with sports action on Sundays. Knowing there are a few groups that meet after church, they have Pandora/Spotify type playlist for the first hour of religious music. Many of us choose to dine in the evening at NY Pizza and it is table service at that time and full bar. Good food, good prices, good staff…can’t go wrong

Pickup on a Friday night 7 pm. About 5 tables in the restaurant. I ordered an Alfredo pizza with onions and bacon, a salad with ranch and chocolate cake.
Pizza dough was so chewy, my jaw was tired of chewing after once piece. We each had one piece and threw the pizza away. Chocolate cake was super dry. To accommodate, they make sure half the cake is icing. The best thing I had all night was the ranch on my house salad.
We will take our pizza business elsewhere. There are too many places to pay this much and throw almost all of it away.

Amazing taste and value. Atmosphere is cozy and not too loud. People are friendly. I highly recommend this place. It is like real Italian food. Ingredients are not cheap tasting. the sauces are not all the same from a jar either. ❤️
