Stopped in for breakfast at Cari’s while visiting Granbury—a place I hadn’t been to since 2018—and I’m glad we did.
We seated ourselves and were greeted quickly by our waitress(Lindsey), who took drink orders right away. Service was prompt and friendly throughout the visit.
Dining with my youngest grandsons always adds a little adventure. One eats great, the other is more selective—on this visit, hash browns were the only thing that made the cut for him.
I went all in with the spinach and mushroom omelet topped with hollandaise sauce, and it was delicious. The meal also came with two large pancakes. The only minor issue was that the pancakes arrived just slightly warm rather than hot, likely from sitting under a heat lamp while the rest of the table’s food was finished. Not a dealbreaker—I still enjoyed them.
Overall, a very good breakfast experience. Cari’s remains a solid choice, and I won’t wait another eight years to come back again.

As first time customers I and my wife were surprised of the choices on the menu. I want say 4-5 pages. Breakfast and lunch served here. Breakfast is served all day till closing at 2 pm. They have lunch specials i believe at 12.99. They also have all you can eat catfish for 15.99 Honestly I’m surprised that they are only open till 2. The place was moderately pack but we still were able to find a seat with no problem. They also have an outdoor seating choices.
I had the ultimate omelet with everything in it,except mushrooms and 2 pancakes also comes with it. My wife have I think Jennifer’s meal which had 2 bacon, 2 sausage links,a large portion of hash browns,2 eggs cooked her way, and 2 panckes. All I can day is it was delicious. Mandi was our waitress and she’s fantastic. She was quick to get the drink orders and bring them back. Then get our orders. Food was about 15 mins to get to us and it was hot and looked good. Picanti sauce was .50 cents extra but that’s ok. I’m not fond of Tabasco sauce with is free. Our bill with a tea and water came out to be less than $30. We will probably be back within a month.
The only con is traffic getting to them if headed west on 377, but you can turn left at a light by KFC then coming in behind the gas station.
One last note is they have a drive thru but no take home menus to make future orders ahead of time. All in all the food was good and worth trying.

Been going here for two decades. The pumpkin pancakes are a must. Don’t worry they are not too much pumpkin but just enough and I love the texture. This is just a great dinner to eat at or grab a cup of coffee. They have a good selection of coffees too.

We were seated immediately and the staff was very nice and prompt. I consider myself to be a home chef and was excited to try the eggs Benedict as I often make this dish myself. My husband got the chicken and waffles. I hate to say this but that was the worst eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The sauce was rancid, one of the eggs over cooked completely and the hash browns had zero flavor, like they just warmed it on the grill no salt pepper or anything. My husband says the waffles were decent but the chicken tasted old and freezer burnt with zero flavor and the gravy had zero flavor. We are Cajun and that might play a small part with our palate but yea the food wasn’t up to our standards. Also the orange juice tasted like sunny D. I’ll be willing to come back and try the lunch service and adjust my review accordingly.

The atmosphere is very fitting. Although I had a special request the kitchen couldn’t nail it after 2 tries. But what i ended up with was tasty. Service was great and the fried pies are amazing even thought they are a touch on the greasy side.

What a fun old school diner. Pumpkin pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes and a big breakfast. All great. Fast and friendly service and the portions are huge. We had to get to go boxes. And then, it happened. They walked around with fresh fried pies. Cherry, cheesecake, chocolate, peach and more. Hot and fresh. Amazing. Can’t wait to come back.
