We had a great time at this restaurant and the experience was fun and new. The steaks were delicious, even after cooking it ourselves. The abiance was really neat and it can get a bit smokey due to many rocks being used at the same time. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The drinks were a bit pricey and not strong at all. The sides were not very tasty at all, reminded me of canned veggies. Overall, we did enjoy this place and it’s a new experience to try.

We had an amazing dinner in Wisconsin Dells and it was such a fun experience! The steak was served on a sizzling hot stone, and we got to cook it ourselves exactly how we like it.

The meat was high quality, tender, and full of flavor. Cooking it piece by piece made every bite fresh and perfectly done. It’s such a unique and interactive way to enjoy steak — especially when dining with family!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server Vladi was super friendly, she explained how everything works, which made it easy and enjoyable. Service was very attentive.

Definitely one of the most fun dining experiences in Wisconsin Dells. We will absolutely be back!

Overall I’d say this place is NOT WORTH AT ALL YOUR MONEY. I ordered a 8oz ribeye with sweet corn and potato wedges and a side of shrimp and my husband ordered the 3 meat hot rock with also the same sides. First the meat cooking on the hot rock was cool but it’s like cooking on a little skillet. Second the potato wedges were HUGE. The steaks also tasted like Texas Roadhouse ones personally. I also thought for the $4 I payed for the shrimp was at least 4 or 3 of them even though it said one shrimp for $4, comes out to be I was paying only $4 for one!! Also I saw on the menu for a steak and lobster tail was $60 which is outrageous would rather go to a red lobster for that price. The waiter was amazing and on top of everything and the atmosphere was so cool! However I will not be going back because it is not worth the $102 that I payed for. I’d rather go into a Texas Roadhouse with a hot skillet and call it a hot rock.

Hot Rocks was an amazing experience. We had a very attentive, informative waiter named Walter. The best way I can describe the experience was like a personalized, tabletop cookout. The food was fresh and flavorful. The vegetables were just right. The lighting in the restaurant was also just right. The decorative lamps and additions to the top of each table gave island vibes. We enjoyed the experience from beginning to end!

First we called to see how busy this place was and to make a reservation. The girl on the phone said they were pretty busy and they don’t make reservations. She said the bar area was packed and the restaurant. We decided to give it a try, we drove an hour to get to this place. We walk in and the girl ask if we have a reservation, I said no and she says there is a 45 minute wait. I then said we called to make one and they said no reservations. She then says you can wait at the bar, which was completely empty. We sat down and the girl comes over and said they had a table ready. She said there was a no show. How can someone tell us there is a 45 minute wait and then say there is a table ready. We should of taken that as a red flag to leave. They sit us at a table that was broken, the table was so wobbly. Waiter comes over and I say the table is not sturdy, so he pushes it into the wall and says all fixed. Red Flag… We order an appetizer and it comes out and it looked pretty good. The baked cheese on it was so tough and cold we had to use a knife to cut it to get to the dip. Then our steaks come out. My girlfriend ordered a New York strip and it had the biggest fat cap on it. I asked the waiter why the steak had so much fat. He says that the steak is 14 oz and once cooked its 12oz. New York strip is not a fatty steak cut. Thin fat cap along one side and very little marble in it. And that is why she ordered it. I got the Ribeye and it was alright. We both got the steamed Broccoli and it was cold to the touch. I got potato wedges and they were cold. My girlfriend got the mashed potatoes and they were cold. The waiter also kept trying to push us to get drinks. $4 dollar for a soda… Wow thats insane and $12 alcohol drinks. No thanks water is fine. Our waiter came to our table to take the order. Someone else delivered the food. Then he came back with the check after we were done. The table was so wobbly I put a fork under the leg to help sturdy it. This place is could be a good establishment, but as what I experienced was not a good place. Do be careful the floors are very slippery as well. Cost over $100 for 2 people with a tip. The waiter definitely didn’t deserve a tip in my eyes, but I gave him one anyway.

I’m actually shocked that this place wasn’t busier. The food was SO good. I got a 10oz ribeye, by husband and son both got pork chops, we had mashed potatoes, asparagus, salads, and potato wedges as our sides. All of the food was amazing and so was the experience. It was worth every penny!

Had an amazing time! We loved the fact that you could pick your entree and then cook it to what you believe is perfection. Cooked my steak, took it off the hot rock and put it to the side. Then sliced thin slices and returned then to the rock for a perfect bite every time. The drinks are very tasty and have collector cups. The sides were well portioned and the dessert was the cherry on the top. The “elote” is good but not when it’s cold. Eat that first or it isn’t worth it. Service was fast and on point. Will return here!

I visited this restaurant in Wisconsin Dells with my family and had an excellent experience. The service was flawless from the start. Our server, Mira (M-I-R-A), was extremely kind and attentive; she took the time to patiently explain everything, noticing it was our first time there. She also offered great options for our little girl and explained the menu in detail, including sides and suggestions to help each of us choose the best option based on our preferences. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very cozy—perfect for a family outing. The place was spotless, and we felt very well taken care of throughout. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding quality in every aspect.

***PLEASE READ AND DO NOT SKIP***

This must be one of those tourist scam restaurants where they change an arm and leg for the “experience”. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!

I just want to say that my boyfriend and I had terrible cuts of meat that were very small and fatty. The best thing on our plate was the mashed potatoes. We told our waiter who was a nice gentleman about the situation. The manager (some lady), came to table to ask what the issue was that’s when I addressed the situation with stating how I couldn’t cut through the skirt steak and how I even tried to get my boyfriend to cut it and he could not do so. By the time we had finished trying to cut the mystery meat the broccoli as a side was ice cold. The crazy part is we got a trio and the skirt steak was the biggest cut of meat and NEITHER of us ate it!!! The lamb lollipops had literally one bite of meat on them and a good portion was fat. The filet medallion was the best cut of meat we got which was like 2 oz. Over all ate 2 bites of meat and some mashed potatoes and was charged $62! We still tripped them $10 just to be good people. We would not suggest this to anyone! Crazy overpriced and horrible food quality.
