First had very good food at the restaurant and the fun dancing with live music at bar area. Restaurant services excellent server, prepared, friendly, accommodating all the requests. Food menus short but great varieties. All food arrived promptly and well prepared. For party they had an outdoor tent with mechanical bull. Inside the bar area was closed off with special entry fee. Very good mixed music band. Drinks stations. A lot of people having fun and dancing.
We drove two hours specifically for this Valentine’s dinner, expecting the quality and atmosphere we remembered. When making our reservation, we clearly requested indoor seating. Despite that, we were placed in an overflow area with very small two-top tables packed closely together. There was no privacy at all—we were sitting inches away from other couples, watching and listening to conversations right next to us. It didn’t feel intimate, romantic, or special in any way.
The atmosphere felt cramped and unstable—the table itself was moving—which immediately set the wrong tone for the evening.
The menu was noticeably different from past visits. Our server later explained the restaurant is under new ownership and that they are “trying” to bring the food back to the quality it once had. Unfortunately, it did not reflect that standard, especially considering this used to be a higher-end dining experience.
To make matters worse, my Valentine’s martini cost $24 and arrived with nearly half of it missing. The glass was sticky, making it clear it had been spilled before reaching the table. My husband’s $25 Long Island Iced Tea was extremely watered down and honestly unpleasant. Neither drink was replaced or acknowledged.
Overall, this is no longer the restaurant it once was. After driving two hours and spending premium prices, the service, atmosphere, and overall experience fell far short of expectations—especially for Valentine’s Day.
By 7:20 p.m. our server took our order. I was the first to order but the last to be served a salad. My friends kept getting their meals cold so they had to bring them twice, all the while I have no food. I didn’t receive my salad until after 8:30 p.m.!
The salad was okay but very small for $ 26! I’ve eaten here before and the food was good and the service was fine but this experience really has me wondering if it will be the same the next time….
It’s a good place for music. Our server was sweet and attentive but it seemed like the Bar and Kitchen were holding her up. You def get faater service sitting at the bar I’ve noticed.
I’m in the top 10% of nationwide restaurant reviewers on Google with over 6 million views….. If I could get some advice to newer management, it would be to increase your portions on your salads or lower the cost. This is a very inexpensive meal to make. I didn’t dine inside and so I’m not sure how prompt they were that night but I would suggest some more training with the staff, kitchen and outside bar on delivery times. Maybe it was just an off night, idk… hoping to try it again…
PS .. the desert was very pretty and definitely large enough to share
