Nice run of the mill American diner. Lots more seating than I imagined while driving by. Seems like a great spot to take the family. I got country fried steak and eggs. Everything tasted pretty good, and the gravy had lots of meat chunks in it. Unfortunately I’m lactose intolerant and didn’t think about how it was probably made with milk or cream so my guts paid for it the rest of the night lol. My server was really nice and very accommodating. I wish I could have tipped more, but I didn’t bring my card with me, so I’ll have to come back and make up for it.

Come for the food; stay for the caring staff. The Great American Diner in west seattle is a great hidden gem. It has a local presence, and it doesn’t look super fancy, but don’t let the outside fool you. The food is incredible. I was shocked at the steak and the all day breakfast. I’m from the South and this is the best country fried steak in all of Seattle. Maybe even on the west coast. Surprisingly tender. Amazing gravy, and comes w/ a hearty and delicious sourdough toast. Portions are huge and the price is unbelievable. Hashbrowns are classic, not overly salty. It may not look like much but it’s a hidden treasure. A quiet oasis in the heart of west seattle (not for long)! Great place to have a date, catch a game or catch up with a friend. The owner is kind and remembers you. The bartender is excellent. Support local businesses and try the Great American Diner. Also open past 9p!

This place is a scam, stay away. I hope they didn’t copy your card. This is something we’ve never experienced before. We’ve been waiting for our credit card statement to be corrected for 2 weeks. We had breakfast at this restaurant. They charged us 11 dollars more without our approval. If the reason for this is the small jam boxes on the table, I don’t accept the small boxes that cost pancakes. I ordered toast for myself and ate the jam on the table. I share the features of every place I go. My average views are 1,500,000. Don’t pay by card.

First time coming here! What a great atmosphere! Very lovely, spacious, and lots of colors (decorations) . I ordered the Steak & Eggs and my husband ordered the Veggie Skillet dish with a side of French fries. My dish was delicious: comes with toasts, two eggs, potatoes, and the steak itself. Very very delicious . Great portions too. Very nice customer service. Definitely coming back here in the future. Highly recommended!!! 🙂

Based on the reviews and upon entering the Diner, I was a bit worried about how this would go. The food slapped. The pancakes were classic and delicious. The best hashbrowns I’ve had in WA. Perfectly crisp on top and a good amount of salt. Very fresh and delicious eggs, as advertised. Everything I had was great. Not expected at all. The interior needs a serious update/remodel. Staff was okay, the server was thoughtful about getting our order in before a large table ordered. Food came out super fast. About $20 or less for a solid meal. Very pleasant experience. Definitely check it out if you are craving a classic breakfast.

Always a great time at Great American Diner, our waitress was attentive and humorous! We ordered hot buffalo wings, Jalapeño Burger, Steak & Pancake. Love this place always for any kind of meal but when I crave All day breakfast this is my go to place. The quantity and quality is perfect! Couldn’t Recommend this diner enough!

The menu is huge. Arguably too big with over 100 selections. But if you’re feeling burgers, pasta, breakfast, and all the American staples in between this is Def a place for groups who all want something different. Our table got the fish and chips, a classic, and perfect but don’t get the coleslaw. Also the Cajun seafood pasta. We were offered extra Cajun since it’s not a true spicy dish but honestly the way it came out was so flavourful and perfect. No gripes from us, we will Def be back.
