Reviews
We ordered the Prosciutto Pizza, and the thin, Italian-style crust was perfectly crisp. The generous portion of fresh prosciutto on top was wonderfully salty yet tender, pairing perfectly with the rich tomato sauce. The amount of ham was truly impressive, making even one slice incredibly satisfying. The savory flavor balanced beautifully with the sauce’s acidity. Being fired in a brick oven, it was easily a top-tier pizza.
My only regret was the appearance of small flies or gnats that accompanied the pizza when it arrived. I’m unsure if they were attracted by the aroma, but they disappeared after the pizza was finished and the plate was cleared. This led me to suspect a potential issue with the pizza itself or the serving board. I notified the staff, and they kindly removed the pizza charge later, but those persistent flies definitely kept our enjoyment from reaching its peak.
The Caesar Salad was absolutely excellent. It was incredibly fresh and crisp, and the creamy dressing was flavorful without being overwhelming, coating the lettuce perfectly. In particular, the large, thinly shaved slices of Parmigiano cheese were rich and savory, elevating the entire salad. It was a perfect, classic side dish to accompany our main courses.
If you want to experience the authentic Italian atmosphere and flavor, this place is definitely the best choice.
We ordered the Ollo Scramble and hands down, it was the best choice we could’ve made. Every bite was packed with flavor.
The coffee was also incredible—rich, smooth, and just what a proper breakfast deserves.
Can’t wait to come back!
We walked in and were seated. The first thing we noticed was the comfortable decor. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the had nice contemporary music playing.
We placed our drink order and asked for some bread. We got our drinks, but no bread. It was almost 20 minutes before were were served our requested bread.
We were starting to get a sense that they were short on wait staff. Our waiter was nice but you could pick up on his stress.
We started with the Cauliflower appetizer. It was delicious! Not what I expected but very good.
I ordered the Beef Short rib and mashed potatoes. My wife asked for the Porcini Mushroom Parpadelle pasta.
We received or Beef Short Rib plate and a Beef Ragu Parpadelle dish. The waiter was nowhere to be seen, so she ate the dish she received.
For desert we got the Torta Della Nonna. It was good, but the ice cream on the side was the highlight.
All in all the food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, but they definitely had a staffing shortage.
Ambiance: Loved it. Like ved the energy at this place. Loved the large, colorful paintings and perfect amount of light.
Food: Bread was on the house. It was warm, toasty and had very nice rosemary seasoning. We mainly ate vegetarian food because my husband is vegetarian. We loved the beet salad, lentil soup and roasted cauliflower. Brussels sprouts could use more seasoning.
I’ll definitely recommend this place. They have good vegetarian options.
The matzo ball soup was delicious, a great way to start a meal. The broth was so flavourful and my mom loved the matzo ball.
They have a selection of preset pizzas (which my mom went for – she got the wild mushroom & spinach pizza and loved it), my dad and I made our own pizza. He got Hawaiian (ham & pineapple) and I got a very loaded pizza haha, you pay per topping so before you go wild like me, keep in mind it can get expensive quickly. Worth every penny though!
The dessert was delicious, we almost ordered a second one after we finished the first.
The blackberry lemon drop cocktail was delicious. Very refreshing and fruity!
Their patio is covered and dog friendly!
Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Malibu! 10/10 would recommend. The interior and vibe is great too.
