Came in here for the 1st time in a long time. I love Steak & Shake. The food is top notch and customer service was great.
I ordered the usual single burger, with medium fries & got an apple juice. Got that because I got my black rifle coffee cold brew to go along with my cigar for later.
Stop by and check them out. Located right inside the Pilot Truck stop.

When I walked in, the wonderful smell of smoking BBQ hooked me. I had to try the BBQ spot inside here. The staff was friendly, the sides were in customers’ view, digital menus were lit up and easy to view. The sitting area was clean and inviting. I have to give a big thanks to CHLOE for making my visit even better. She seemed to be attentive to her job and helped with the condiment bar in the lobby. Great hospitality goes a long way these days. The food is awesome. I got the Cowboy plate. Brisket, sausage, green beans, and marinated mushrooms. Plus a side of cucumber salad. Unique but yummy. Plus, the spicy barbecue sauce topped it off. They have many other options to choose from.

When the young lady at the register told me they didn’t have gluten-free buns, manager John swooped in and saved the day! Well, just my dinner, but still! He was super nice and happily said they could do a lettuce bun for me. Recently having to cut out gluten has been extra difficult while living in a truck. Most places don’t want to deal with modifications. John and everyone else there gave incredible customer service, above and beyond!
I mean, just LOOK how nice they made it for me! I can tell they put some care and thought into making my food. Thank you all!

Amazing food, just absolutely delicious, the best steak burger ever absolutely love, love love.
Revisited this location a few times and tried different meals and it just taste even more amazing each time.
Definitely recommend especially now with better service and new management.

Stopped by on a trip out of town, and I’m super pleased. Not only was the interior very new and modern eye candy, the tables and floors were clean and fresh to match. We were surprised by how quick the food came out, and the greatness of the food made up for their shakes being unavailable at the time… all is well.
The worst part is? I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat a burger without garlic sauce again- their garlic burger was too fantastic. Creamy, buttery, with well seasoned meat- and the veggie toppings I added were all very fresh and cool. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you so much and have a stellar day!

I walked in the steak and shake a little after nine p m today. They had already cleaned the floor and put up all the chairs, but they were still opened. I ordered the number one combo. An original double steak burger with cheese, shoestring fries. And I wanted a shake, but their shake machine is down. Why is it that every place you go, the shake machine is out of order?
For $8.60 I got a fairly decent meal. The burger was delicious. Shoestring French fries were cooked perfectly. And even though I wanted a shake, I’m not gonna complain about the soda.
Right next to steak and shake, there is a Texas Best smokehouse. I have an idea that I’m gonna try tomorrow. I’m gonna order a quarter pound of beef brisket and then go over to steak and shake and order a burger. Then I’m gonna put the brisket on top of the burger and eat the whole thing.

I was talked into ordering a butter double burger, because that particular hamburger already had grilled onions. And then all that I would have to do to make it the way I wanted it, was to add an additional piece of cheese. I placed my order, and got back home to Petrolia which is about 15 or 16 minutes away.
Not only did the burger not have the additional slice of cheese that I requested, but it didn’t even come with grilled onions as advertised.
Whatever you do, don’t ever go to this place to eat. You would be far better to get what you wanted from McDonald’s then from this place any and every time.
