We ended up going to 1942 On the square and they did not disappoint. The waitress Ms Sidney totally set the atmosphere. She knew the entire menu and made great recommendations. She was my hype-girl for my BIRTHDAY!!!! We had the firecracker shrimp they were delicious, bacon burger-seasoned and cooked well, fried ribs-excellent, smoked ribs-tender, the sweet potatoes waffle fries was on point and the chicken alfredo was good but a little too heavy on the cream. I would definitely recommend a visit. Great establishment. It was karaoke night so I enjoyed hearing the people sang outside on the patio.

Come here a few times for dinner. My favorite is the ribeye steak and the sweet potato fries. The fries are really good. The turkey leg is also always a favorite for my family. The service is quick, the staff always kind and attentive and the food is reasonably priced. You also get great portion sizes as well. Give this restaurant a try. You won’t regret it.

We held a “surprise” graduation celebration for our daughter at 1942 on the Square this past Sunday and had an absolute blast!
From the beginning to the end, it was an enjoyable experience. Planning the event with Nikita and Ashley was seamless; The owner Tony was quite gracious when we toured the site; Servers, especially our lead server Kayla, were top-notch; Mike, the manager on duty, was attentive; The DJ and the cabanas made the atmosphere ideal; And most importantly, the food was the BOMB!!
Our guests could not stop talking about how great the venue was. We cannot thank you enough for making our daughter’s special day such a delight. It was a pleasure supporting this Black owned business and we’ll definitely be back!

We arrived unannounced with 25 people on a Saturday. The staff was hospitable, and accommodated us quickly. The food arrived hot, all of the orders were accurate even though we had place. Our waitress was fantastic and attended everything we needed. I’ll definitely recommend us for small or large group settings. The drinks were delicious. It was delicious lots of options. And I would especially request Kayla.

The music was cool and that’s is. Our waitress was ok and great but her manager was horrible. The Lemon drop was sugar water and when we asked about it we just kept hearing all drinks are final. Never feeling as if she trying to help us out. My mom chicken was not done. The music was good but overall the food and drinks was trash.

Our experience was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and full of flavor. Ordered the Turkey Leg with greens mac and cheese. The customer service was outstanding the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. The atmosphere was just as impressive warm, inviting, and full of great energy. We had an absolutely fantastic experience at 1942 On the Square! The food was incredible — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every single person in our party of 25 was impressed, which is no small feat!
