An Indian friend told me Adda is the best casual Indian restaurant in Chicago. After experiencing it, I completely agree. The depth of flavor is greater than other Indian restaurants where I frequently dine. I can tell they use more spices and roast them to deepen their flavors. We especially loved the generous amount of fresh curry leaves in every dish. We ordered “medium” spice level, and it was just right.
Nothing is greasy. The service is very hospitable. I highly recommend Adda!

We were visiting Chicago and searching for Halwa pori breakfast, after searching google we got recommendation for this one.The food was incredibly delicious very fresh the poris were light fluffy, chana and aalo were tasty we ordered Qeema and it was perfectly cooked with no smell of meat, tasty halwa hot tea
For kids we ordered chicken sliders and they liked it,they have quiet speedy service to cater larger group.
Highly recommend for a desi breakfast.

I eat here at least once a month. The food is absolutely amazing and authentic – my favorite dish is the chicken korma. The spices have a depth to them that’s not found in many other places I’ve tried. The prices are fair, and the service is excellent. The staff always goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago.

The food is excellent – real spices are using in preparation and cooking, including bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and pepper pods in the Biriyani, which give the food excellent spice and rich flavor!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very refined, with dim lighting at night, and is relaxed, moody, cozy, with a welcoming, comforting vibe.

I have eaten at Adda several times since moving to Chicago, and find it to be very consistent in quality and delivery of a wonderful experience each time.

Extremely disappointing.

The Bhindi Masala had no taste at all and was completely bland. They even included the top/head part of the bhindi, which is normally cut and thrown away — totally inedible. The bhindi pieces were huge and undercooked, and the bell peppers were raw and cut into very large pieces.

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for the last 2–3 years, but the quality has steadily declined. Today it hit a new low. Ordering this on New Year’s evening was a mistake.

Never order Bhindi Masala from here. Also avoid any sabji with large bell pepper or onion pieces — they’re usually undercooked and hard to eat.

Won’t be ordering again.

Very dissatisfying and disappointing food. Pushed towards a biryani which was pulao topped with chicken instead of chicken cooked with the rice. Everything was super salty. Waiter dropped off food and then did not appear for the rest of the meal so no one asked us how the food was. When we paid the bill we mentioned the food was salty and the response was silence. This was during lunch and there was no one in the restaurant so maybe that should have been a sign for us. Do not waste your money here.

The restaurant was so peaceful and pleasant. The service was excellent, the gentleman were very accommodation, attentive and friendly. The mango lasse was delicious and the mixed grill and chicken, egg, fried rice was also very good! Looking forward to going back and trying the lamb chops!

Absolutely delicious food. I got the Irani Goat. (They have irani lamb on the menu, but ask for goat, it comes with the bone, and is extremely succulent). Service was very nice, and Stanley was great and attentive. I’m a stickler when it comes to indian restaurants, but this one definitely exceeds the mark.

A great restaurant with great service. Tried the gobi Manchurian which is delicious, it had some onions that were just really good, creating a balance of sweet, and some spice. The chicken Biryani was also great, along with the Chicken Xacutti! Definitely a place I would recommend. Also, as someone who loves a good garlic naan, they served one that was absolutely great.
