We stop here regularly between the Houston-Nashville drive. It’s right at the halfway point and consistently delivers a great stop for rest and refreshment.
The burgers are amazing. They cook them with a nice sear crust on the outside, juicy inside, hot and fresh. The bun is nicely toasted and the toppings are always fresh.
The fries are cut to order and fried to perfection.
Service is always friendly and the staff are all hard working, good people.
We love this place!

I ordered the double burger combo with Cajun fries and a blackened grilled chicken salad. I can’t vouch for their seafood, but what I ordered was bussin’! Didn’t take too long to receive my order. I’ll definitely come back here next time I pass through.

Owner is awesome and the cooks are great and my order taker Summer Sky is just absolutely a true peoples person and lights up the atmosphere, best fries and hamburger I have had in along time. I tried the fish too and was cooked nice and crispy. Great place to dine.

Flying Burger & Seafood is a delightful restaurant featuring huge portions of Cajun cuisine. We ordered a grilled shrimp Po Boy, a fried fish Po Boy, and a fried fish basket. All came with Cajun fries (or seasoned fries). I love the 50s vibe of the restaurant and the very friendly staff. The prices are a little high. I recommend ordering fish vs the shrimp. The shrimp was delicious but there were very few shrimp on my Po Boy.

This restaurant is a stop that I like to make when time allows as I pass through. I usually get the same sandwich because I get it to go and eat while I drive, but I decided to change it up this last time around. The food was good and the portions are quite generous for the prices.

As a trucker , I didn’t care for the food options at the Flying J, so I decided to walk across the street to Flying Burger & Seafood and ordered the Tilapia Tacos mild spicy with Pico de Gallo, tarter sauce and coleslaw slaw all on the tacos (it was 3 corn tacos that came with order), plus grilled zucchini/squash for the side. Absolutely delicious and the best fish tacos I’ve ever eaten, all fresh with perfectly warmed taco shells, and the grilled veggies were seasoned and grilled superb . I would definitely stop and eat here again if I’m ever passing back through. And the service was very friendly and helpful in making my food choice

Well I had high hopes, but it was not a good experience! First it was not busy at all, and now I may know why. I ordered a combo #2 with added Bacon and American cheese. I had to wait about 5 or 6 minutes but that would have been fine if the food was good, but unfortunately it was mediocre at best!
First the fries were lukewarm, greasy and tasted old which should not have happened since in the whole place it was just me and one couple sitting at a table. I tried the fries as soon as I got in the car right after I got my bag and was very disappointed. The burger was better, but not much! There was NO BACON on my burger, which they charged me an extra $1.69 for. One old thin piece of lettuce with black spots on it which I had to remove, and only one brown tri-fold napkin like you’d find in a restroom was in the bag! The burger was clearly just slapped together. Very disappointing experience. See pictures.
Now I know why every time I drive by it’s never busy! I had taken everything to go and only drove a mile and a half home and took the pictures as soon as I got there and had put everything on a plate. Only about two and a half minutes since I received my order! I would have returned it all but it just wasn’t worth the hassle to drive back. Ended up throwing it in the trash!

It was… Okay. Not bad and not the best. The prices are a little steep but I’m guessing that’s with inflation that is everywhere. But, if those prices don’t come down, folks tend to look for other places to eat. The wings were a little over spiced. I ordered plain and the wife got lemon pepper. The size of the wings were decent. The hush puppies were great.

I’m a food critic and truck driver so I decided to give this place a chance. I ordered the 3 piece fish fillets with fries and hush puppies. The food was fresh and hot which is an A +, but it had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR WHAT SO EVER. That was the blandest fish I had ever eaten in my life. Let me give you a tip if I may, try using garlic power, opinion powder and season salt……..or just get Louisiana Fish Fry seasoning for the fish.
