Upon walking in the door, the staff was pleasant. I wasn’t sure what to order( it’s my first visit) , it was suggested to try the Philly Cheesesteak. I ordered it with lettuce, tomato, and peppers along with a side of fries. The cheesesteak was okay. Not bad at all. The seasoned fries, however, were soft and didn’t taste quite fresh. Like they came out of the freezer, cooked, then left out for a bit( not saying that was the case, that is how the taste and flavor was). I should have went with chips. Overall, not a bad experience.

Placed an online order for the chicken Philly and a side of fries. I arrived about 5 minutes before my order was due and they were waiting on fries. My food was hot, fresh and included everything I requested. The fries were good and crispy just like I like them. The sandwich was also delicious, but the bread was a bit thick for me. I look forward to trying more items on the menu, especially the pizza!

Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Most sub places I’ve been to in various states minimize the serving, however here, they gave exactly what I paid for. I didn’t get to try their pizza but it looked amazing too!

The food was great ! Very tasty , Philly steak is great , the fries are awesome. The cashier was very nice. My only complaint is that I paid for a Philly steak with lettuce and tomato,and it did not have the lettuce or tomatoe. I only realized when I got back to my room. Otherwise, food is very good

It may not look like much from outside, but this place is a hidden treasure in Columbia! Staff is friendly and warm, and the space may be a little dated, but we appreciated the old- school feel. The menu isn’t huge, but I feel confident from what we tried that everything is well executed. Pizza is nostalgically good- nothing fancy here, but the flavor was like when you used to go to a pizza place after a little league game. It felt familiar and classic. The fries seem cut in-house and are dusted with a light and spicy coating before frying, making for flavorful and crisp fries.
The star, of course, is the cheesesteak. Bread is soft as it should be, and the beef is razor thin. Add whatever veggies you’d like, and top it with cheese- this is delicious stuff! It’s authentic and authentically great. Drive out of your way for this food, it’s worth it!

Verys has been a Columbia institution for quite some time and I’d heard about it over and over again, but for some reason I’d never actually made it in to try it, so when a friend suggested it for dinner, I jumped on the opportunity. Let me say, I’m not going to pretend to be a cheese steak guy, I’m not from Philadelphia, I hate bell pepper, and I’m not huge on grilled onions. Others are welcome to judge me on this, but I got a cheese steak with grilled mushrooms. It was fantastic. Steak was flavorful, cheese melty, and bun somehow both toasted and soft in a really good way. I’m a big fan now and can’t believe I’d slept on going here for so long. It’s a bit of a destination for me, but I’ll happily be back soon.

I have had pizza and phillys, from here the pizza and phillys are both some my favorite in the local area i travel 20 minutes just to get there pizza. When u want good pizzas or phillys give them a try u wont be disappointed

I visited the restaurant for a take out meal. Large Greek salad and a single and a Verys Combo single pizza, which was so delicious. Mann, I could’ve eaten it all, but I want to savor it more tomorrow. Both were soooo good!

It’s been a while since I stopped in for a meal. Had a great visit with the parentals. That day they were serving unlimited spaghetti so it was hard to decide what to eat. I went with a favorite and was not disappointed (Philly). Food was slamming and the tea was cold and fresh. My kiddo had fun coloring so that was a nice old touch. Server was wonderful and prompt. Thanks for a great evening.
