Very cool little spot! A little hard to find initially, but not impossible, and the rooftop space looked very cool! Definitely on the pricier side, but I would say most of what we got was worth it! The salsa is AMAZING(and spicy!), queso left some to be desired, but the rest of our meal was good and came out in a decent timeframe. Service was friendly and not largely offensively slow, as well! This is definitely a spot to try to hit in the warmer temps!

Wow this was some good food!!! And worth the walk up the hill and steps! We all enjoyed everything we got. I loved the guac!! And the views from their deck were spectacular too! We were there at an off time so seated quickly because I imagine during peak times it’s packed. Server was super helpful and friendly!!

Aaron, our waiter was courteous and prompt with service. We had the Bottomless tortillas and fresh salsas, not too hot, flavorful. I have dairy and gluten allergy so I ordered the Veggie Fajitas, excellent and large portions, enough for two people. We will go back.

This was my first time visiting, but my husband has been coming here since he was a kid and now I completely understand why. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they truly care about their customers.

The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with pride. Every dish we had was comforting and memorable!

Places like this are rare and deserve support. If you’re considering coming here, don’t hesitate! Go enjoy a great meal and be treated like family. I’m so grateful I finally got to experience this place.

Their rooftop in the summertime is the place to be! Just came for chips, salsa and some margaritas but they were all delicious. Staff (especially our server Aaron) was extremely friendly and we had a great time on the patio overlooking Main Street & and the mountains.

As a local we’ve tried every Mexican restaurant in town except this one and coming from TX none seems to compare to Texas TexMex. In my opinion there’s a difference between Mexican and TexMex. The Yelp reviews are not good for this place. That’s why I do what I do. I give my honest opinion and don’t rely on what others say.
So it is, yes it place is more expensive than most Mexican restaurants, it is however in a tourist town so that will explain some of it, but the small things matter to me. I got water served in a glass glass and not those cheesy red plastic cups that never feel clean even if they are. So nice glass #1. Good service #2, fantastic presentation #3 and good tasting food #4 so that’s a winner for me. The best tasting Mexican restaurant in town!!! Yes it’s more expensive and I’m fine with it being a little more expensive with what I just mentioned. 8.95 for chips and salsa well that’s a bit too crazy, when I come from the Dallas area where chips and salsa are free, that’s a little hard to swallow. There no apps that are under 15 pretty much a bit crazy. Otherwise my fish taco were really good. I loved the salsa everything had great flavor so this is a winner for me oh and a good selection of nice sipping Tequilas

Saturday night on March 1st wasn’t too busy as we expected. We were seated right away in a comfortable booth. It appeared that many of the waitstaff congratulated around the bar area and we had to wait a bit to submit our order.
We ordered the Vallarta Margarita which was tasty. For dinner we had the traditional #8 and the Cabana Burrito. Both were delicious, especially when topped with chile verde which was spicy and fresh. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy the food while seated on the huge patio

We had a fantastic experience at La Cabaña Mexican Bar Grill! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mexican.
Our server Erin was excellent super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole time.
Also, the drinks were so delicious! Perfectly made and full of flavor they really hit the spot.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing Mexican food, great drinks, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

My hubby and I were visiting Estes from Highlands Ranch and we decided to check out this place after a long day of hiking. The food was alright, we ended up getting chile verde which was not flavorful at all and my husband got the cheese dip Chimichanga that happened to be extremely salty. Their Margaritas were absolutely delicious and well paired with their chips and salsa. However the salsas were so watery it wouldn’t stick to your tortilla chips. Overall this place had great customer service but their food was not it, not to mention it’s located at the very top of an abandoned mall and it’s a hike with no access to an elevator for those who need it. 5/10.

On October 16, 2025, our family of 5 adults and 3 children (2 in strollers) embarked on lunch plans at La Cabana Mexican Bar & Grill in Estes Park, CO. After a HIKE up multiple levels of stairs, we arrived on the upper level of the building with a killer view of mountains and main street. We chose patio seating as the sun was shining and we did have 3 children under 6 years. The wind picked up mid-lunch which made me question our seating choice. But we made the best of it and enjoyed a delightful lunch experience with Aaron, our server/cashier/food prep and all-around host. The crowd was sparse so we didn’t feel neglected. Food arrived within a reasonable time frame as did the drinks, chips & salsa. Taco salads ($18.95 each) for 2 guests were fresh and yummy. Fiesta bowls ($18.95 each) for myself and other guests were also fresh and tasty. Filled with chopped tomatoes and onions, guac, sour cream, and cheese. The tortilla chips added to the bowl was the best I’ve had. The ground beef mixture was a little spicy for my liking, but not jalapeño hot. Tab was more than desired at $230. But it was Estes Park.
Overall, this was a fabulous experience for our family. I highly recommend for the fresh food, attentive service, and a pretty fantastic view. Bring a jacket for outdoor dining in October!
