I visited Windy City Subs in Worth, IL and ordered a chicken salad, which was already $15. I asked for an extra dressing and made it clear that I didn’t mind paying for it. Instead of being told how much it was or being rung up properly, the manager stood there chewing gum loudly, smacking his mouth, and barely acknowledged me.
There was no “one moment please,” no explanation, no customer service at all. It felt dismissive and rude. What made it worse was that I noticed he was polite and friendly with other customers, but spoke to me as if I were an inconvenience for simply asking a question.
I did not cause a scene, I wasn’t loud, and I was respectful. I was there to support a local business and pick up food for my husband, but the way I was treated made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Honestly, it felt like discrimination.
Because of this experience, I will not be returning, and they’ve lost my patronage. Customer service matters, especially from someone who identifies themselves as a manager.

I’ve been here an array of times throughout the last several years and the food here is great. One of my most favorite things to get here is the gyro plate. The same staff have been working here for years and are always very kind and courteous!! The shakes and Malts are really good too. They have late night drive thru here until 2am.

When we lived in Palos Hills, we used to go to Windy City Subs very often. Probably once a week and it has always been a treat. Prices are reasonable and everything tastes pretty great.
Today I shared a Reuben sandwich with an order or butter garlic fries with the hubby and it was absolutely fantastic! Nice and hot and crispy. Will continue to visit this place if I’m ever in the area. One of the things that makes me a bit sad now that I’ve moved. Continue the great service, cute and clean restaurant and delicious food!

The food is tasty but I was shocked by the quantity of meat in my gyros plate. It was just a gyros sandwich in a container with fries and fixings. Everywhere else I get a gyros plate it has enough meat for 2 or 3 sandwiches.the subs seemed to be lacking meat as well. Again first time getting it there and was just surprised.

Delicious. Affordable. Open until 0200. What more could you ask for? The butter garlic fries are addictive, fair warning. The service can be a little slow but that’s only because the food is cooked to order and there is typically a line in the drive thru. Pictured: double cheeseburger, butter garlic fries, grilled chicken on pita. 10/10 recommend strongly for that greasy food fix.

Wow. I am so happy I finally made my way to Windy City after driving by it on my commute for many years. Basically, I wanted a gyro, and I wanted to dine in. This place is so clean, it’s gleaming, and the sunlight just pours in. I don’t know of a fast food place with a dining room this nice. Not a single crumb in sight. Really. It was so peaceful too; the energy was just right.
Ok. The food. Amazing. I don’t eat fast food often, so when I do I want it to be worth it. My meal was made to order, and it came out so hot and fresh. I enjoyed every bite. All the while, the staff was working together nonstop. Never a moment of nothing for them. Whether they were cooking, cleaning, stocking, they were moving the entire time. They were so pleasant and happy. Makes me think they like working there. Most establishments are short staffed. Not here! Thank you for a GREAT dinner. Thank you for your hospitality. Can’t wait to do it again.

I gave this place a 2nd chance since the 1st time we came here a few months ago we ordered subs and noticing they only have cold subs in their menu I asked if they could make a hot roast beef sub, the cashier said yes then I noticed the cook made a regular cold sub and then put it in the microwave for a few minutes and when they gave it to me it was gross, what decent restaurant would prepare a hot sub by putting it in the microwave? if they couldn’t make a hot sub they should’ve said we can not do so. I went back recently and I ordered one chili dog and one chicago dog with fries, the same cashier from last time was rude and hard to understand, he kept asking me if I wanted the 2/2 dog combo which comes with 2 order of fries and I said NO. I spoke to him politely in Spanish so he could better understand and he still had a bad attitude and pretended to not understand what I wanted. He turns around and says something in Spanish to the cook and after a few minutes he comes back with what it looked to be 2 Chicago dogs, but one had the chili sauce at the bottom of the bread…In the meantime I could hear the cooks laughing and speaking in Spanish in the back with the cashier. Please hire qualified people to be at the front counter who know how to take orders and know how to treat customers respectfully!

HORRIBLE customer service. The lady at the drive thru makes it seem like she doesn’t want to be at work EVER. Clearly told her 2 shakes she handed us one. When we tried to get her attention she closed the window on us.

Stopped by on a whim a few days ago. This place has been here forever but I finally stopped to see if the food is as good as I’m told it is!!
So let me start by saying that getting your food is no issue. Drive-thru works nicely, but be warned that the traffic on 111th can be loud so you might not be able to hear as well.
Got to the window, payment was easy as they accept electronic payments in addition to cash. Got the food, and it was a wrap!!!
The food is standard fare: burgers, hot dogs, fries, things of that nature. I ordered the hot dogs, a double cheeseburger and garlic fries. The hot dogs were not mine, but they were good (I got a bite! )! The garlic fries were to die for, they were that good!! Let me warn you all also: they don’t skimp on the fries. They give you a LOT!!! I am 238 pounds and I could not finish them! Now for the double cheeseburger, it was good, but my only criticism is that there was so much lettuce (which can have a higher water content) on the bread that the bottom bun got soggy. Let me be clear, the burgers were nicely done, though. So maybe they can go easy on the lettuce in general?
Anyhow, I’ll definitely go back. Good food worth the money, especially those garlic fries!!!
Food……A- (would be an A+ if not for the soggy bun)
Ambiance….B
Price….B
Customer service….A+

ITALIAN BEEF WAS THE WORST BEEF I’VE EVER TASTED! ON ANOTHER NOTE, THE GYROS WAS DELICIOUS, THAT’S THE ONLY REASON I’VE GIVE BACK 2 MORE TIMES! BEEF IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
