It feels weird even doing this. I’m doing this because I love and believe in this place. I chose, of all things I could do, to come here with my family on my birthday and eat brunch and get a full, proper English breakfast. Back when I was young and fun in my 20’s I’d come here every Sunday and spend $100 and have the best time and ALWAYS eat the best food. What I experienced reflected not even a sliver of that memory, literally. Pictured below are two meals from April of 2019 and two meals from today. I got maybe 1/5 of the same amount of beans and they were luke warm at best. Very runny eggs when I ordered over medium. Bangers that were super dry and inexplicably spicy..? No blood pudding. And quite literally a tiny WEDGE of a tomato cut into two. My girlfriend’s boxty was charred. My mother’s boxty was majorly imbalanced with way too much corned beef. I’m not posting this because I want you to fail I want you to look at the pictures I’ve provided and ask yourselves “are we getting better or worse?” Clearly, the answer is emphatically worse. I’ll never be back but I pray you guys take this and get your shit together. Start by firing whoever cooked today.

PS our server was tremendous and the place itself looked great I don’t want this to fall on them. Drinks were phenomenal too this is strictly about the pitiful state your kitchen has become. DO BETTER.

it’s the only place to get a nitro Guinness in the city plenty of places to say that’s what they’re doing but it’s not so get a Guinness here and you’ll notice the difference. The food is awesome. The service is great. The atmosphere is great and it’s pretty easy to park here too so that there’s a plus carson Street isn’t what it used to be but this place is and I’m glad it opened up again.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Got a traditional style Irish breakfast. Yorkshire pudding was amazing. Beans, eggs, sausage, mushroom all on Yorkshire pudding. The service was fast and the food came out quick despite a full restaurant. The soccer game was playing and there was multiple TVs offering easy views for the game. We sat in the back near the kitchen. Food was amazing.

Food is awesome. I’ve tried the fish and chips and love them. This evening I had the cottage pie and it was out of this world along with their bread pudding. Piper’s I will continue to come back.

My friends and I came into town for the Pens game and Steelers game. This place did not disappoint. The Sunday Supper and bread pudding were beyond AMAZING. Food came out fast and hot. Our server Rhiannon was very knowledgeable about the menu items and had great recommendations. Took excellent care of us. We will definitely be back!

This place on a Sunday morning is busy and for a good reason. Upon walking in you see a beautiful pub and walking past the pub you can be seated in the dining area. The service is quick and friendly!! There was only one table available when we went in we were seated and immediately given water while we browsed the menu. After only a minute she came back ask us what we wanted we put an order in I got a nice house breakfast which was phenomenal!! I had a dry cider to drink also a lovely drink!! Overall this place is a must go!! Friendly staff and with a full house great food that came out quick and all cooked just as I asked!!

I can promise you won’t go hungry if you eat at Piper’s. The shepherd’s pie and the open faced reuben were both delicious and absolutely massive. We also had the scotch egg and the scotch onion soup, both very tasty. Our bartender Eric was very friendly and attentive. Great spot!

Incredible Scottish pub in a place where you really wouldn’t expect one. Great whiskey flights, service, and food, as well as some less-common cocktails and beers (an excellent maple hot toddy, for starters). The curry fries are out-of-this-world bar food, and this place has an outrageously cozy pub vibe.

Edit: I was refraining from posting some of the major problems I’ve had in this review to protect my friends that still work there, but I’ve decided that was, in the long run, not doing anyone a favor.
1. Last year, they let an employee with visible marks from a bed bug infestation return to work, even though she was openly announcing she was using no modern treatments.
2. The bug infestation could have caused a major issue with the visible mouse infestation in the restaurant. If you’ve been in the restaurant when it’s quit, you may have seen them.
3. A bartender changed my tip in front of me. Told me about it. Added two more dollars, but still, that’s about as dirty as a guy can do you. Except…
4. Same bartender put a beer (peanut butter stout) in front of me and told me to taste it. (I’m Jeff from the neighborhood. Just fought to get sober a few years ago.) Bartender knew me personally. Well aware I had quit drinking. I finally tasted the beer under pressure (high % tasted terrible to a sober guy.) After tasting the beer, I told the bartender to please take it away. He shrugged and laughed and left it in front of me for the rest of my meal.
-these are not my only problems, but they are the worst problems. If you know me, feel free to ask for more.
