Reviews
I decided to give the place another chance and came back during regular hours. I ordered chicken biryani and soup. The soup was okay, and the naan bread was actually very good. The service on both visits was excellent friendly and attentive.
However, the chicken biryani was disappointing. There were only a few small pieces of chicken, and overall it didn’t feel worth the price. For the amount I paid, I expected much better quality and portion size.
I want to caveat the review with the possibility that the elevation difference between my hometown and SLC may have caused this experience.
All the dishes were cooked well, but the seasoning was just an absolute let down. None of the dishes had enough salt or seasonings for the dish. I could tell that the lamb was cooked very well, but I could barely taste anything.
Looking through some other reviews, it seems like there are a lot of reviews complaining of lack of seasoning, so I feel like I’m not incorrect in my review.
Please season the food more and have someone else eat and provide feedback. I think the cooking was done very well, it just needs more seasoning and flavor!
It’s possible that they under-season the buffet because they have regulars who can’t handle the spice, but I felt like I was eating “meat in mild broth” for most of the dishes.
The curries were flavorful, meat wasn’t dry. I don’t actually know the name of most of the dishes as I went here with an Indian friend who ordered, but the apps were are very tasty.
Will definitely come back again.
