Cafeteria setup; Regulation vegetarian stuff, best savored dine-in.
Go-to place in Jersey city for Indian fast food. Has cramped seating for 30+ in cafeteria setting. They offer a diverse sampling of regional delicacies from the rich Indian culinary heritage. Mostly hits; few misses, too.
We’ve mapped almost entire menu over our numerous forays – most recently for family Christmas brunch.
Aloo tikki chaat, rava dosa, vada pav, khandvi, dhokla, pav bhaji, kulche and full range of confections, esp. chhena (Indian curd cheese) sweets are our favorites; as is kesar-pista milk (which comes in very limited quantity for the price point).
The bhaturas are fluffy but chholae have always come with a perceptibly overpowering baking soda flavor. On this visit, we also went for sarson ka saag (passable) & makki roti – they served what was more like besan ki roti to our trained palates. That did not cut it. Clump of jaggery was a nice, authentic touch, though.
Overall, part of their appeal is the range of selection; and ironically, that’s where they are fallible – spread too thin. This, at times, manifests in service that tends to be fitful, even though the lunch ladies at prep point are always efficient and hygienic.
Entering 2026, the place is in a slow downward slide. Hope they rally back to the levels at which they started.

The service was wonderful and the staff was very welcoming.
The food was really delicious. I had the thali and it was excellent, and the chole bhature was also very tasty. The sweets here are amazing and truly extraordinary — the gulab jamun, rabdi, peda, and kalakand were all fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and authentic.
I would highly recommend this place for both the food and the sweets. And a special thank you to Mohini for being so kind and helpful!

We recently visited Bikanervala and had an absolutely wonderful experience. We ordered the Deluxe Thali and Chole Bhature, and both were outstanding. The team even went out of their way to help us choose the best options. We were craving garlic naan, which usually doesn’t come with the Deluxe Thali, but they happily arranged it for us without any hesitation. That extra effort truly made our visit special. The food itself was delicious and authentic. Overall, an incredible restaurant with fantastic service and authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!

I have ate pav bhaji in several restaurant, some of them are not even north indian and they served great and quantity was great too but this one is waste of time and money. Dont go here to eat pav bhaji. And i asked them what is veg manchurian made of which they replied with mix of all what do they mean by mix of all, if you dont know what you are serving just quit. And we ordered chole bhatura and got paneer in it.

Absolutely loved this sweet shop! The taste of the sweets is amazing – fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced. The ambience is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to visit and enjoy. I ordered the Mixed Bengali Sweets Box from Bikanervala in Jersey City and was thoroughly impressed. The quality, freshness, and variety were all outstanding. Every sweet had its own distinct flavor. You can tell they use authentic ingredients and traditional recipes. The packaging was clean and professional.

The food didn’t quite match the vibrant flavors you’d expect from Indian street food. I tried a few dishes but found most to be disappointing.
1. **Dahi Puri – 3/5**: It was average and edible but lacked any standout flavors.
2. **Raj Kachori – 1/5**: Too hard and felt like a waste of money.
3. **Chilli Potato – 1/5**: Overly spicy and not enjoyable.
4. **Veg Noodles – 3/5**: Decent and edible but nothing special.
5. **Paneer Platter – 4/5**: The paneer was good, and the dal makhani was well-prepared.
The atmosphere was fine, but there was no real service—just a pay-first system where you pick up your food from the counter. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t choose to visit again.
