Horrible experience even under new management. The meat was extremely fatty and not edible. Showed up right when the location opened and it took over a half hour to get our to go order. I observed a couple different individuals waiting to be seated with nobody to help them in another individual waiting for his meal that had showed up for me and still hadn’t had it when I left. We definitely will not be going back.

Came before the dinner rush. Service was amazing. The store itself is gorgeous and homey. The food came out fast, nice and hot, incredibly flavorful and very filling. Service is top notch. Karen was fantastic! Super funny, friendly and hard working. The prices were also pretty decent! Definitely recommend and will come back (mostly for Karen 🙂 )

Missing multiple parts of orders, repeat requests, finally gave up. The wings where good. Brisket was not. Cornbread was very good otherwise mac and cheese was mediocre. No one at the table was impressed with their food other than the corn bread.
Staff was really nice they just couldn’t remember more than one request. Multiple items missing. Kept fixing one at a time and forgetting about the rest. I wouldnt care that much but some of it was expensive and the main not just a side.
It makes me sad to post a review like this for the staff really not being rude at all. Just a really sad dinner for the price.

Famous Dave’s handled the catering of our family reunion July 26, 2025. Excellent coordination and customer service with Kayla during planning and pre-event. On the day, Karen arrived right on schedule and handled the delivery of all the food, as well as the setup. Great tasting pork, chicken and brisket, plus sides of mashed potatoes, coleslaw and corn on the cob. Ample plates, buns, utensils, two types of sauce and other supplies. We fed nearly 40 people and have enjoyed the leftovers. Highly recommend.

This place used to be halfway decent, but it has gotten worse since the last time I was here. I had to chopped pork, we should just buy the barbecue sauce was dry and not tender whatsoever. It had a lot of burnt pieces on it which were chewy, and hurt my mouth. Overall, the flavor was mediocre at best. But what was horrible was the service. It was Sunday evening, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy at all, but it took a full 5 to 8 minutes before we were even acknowledged. When we did get seated, we received our food quickly, if you want to call it food. There was no salt or pepper at the table, and I asked for salt and pepper which took them a full 15 minutes to bring me. Then, it took a full 20 minutes for them to bring us a check, and another 15 minutes for them to come pick up the check, and another 10 minutes for them to come and cash us out. Overall, disappointing food and abysmal service. I will not be going back to Famous Dave’s, and I cannot in good conscience recommended.

Don’t always rely on reviews. We had second thoughts about visiting, but I’m glad we changed our minds. We were there on a Monday evening at 430pm. They were quick to seat us and take our drink order. Appetizers were quickly delivered. Food also came out soon after. Food was great in quantity and quality. We are very happy with our dining experience there. If we are back in Aurora and looking for BBQ, we will be back. Thank you Dave’s

I was really looking forward to enjoying Famous Dave’s takeout, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. After spending $66, I expected a lot more. The rib tips were a major disappointment – they looked old, were hard as leather, and had no flavor whatsoever. The wings were also a bust, tasting old and dry.
On the bright side, the brisket and BBQ were decent, but not enough to save the meal. What really saved the experience was the friendly and positive service from the person who took my order and brought the food out. They deserve kudos for their excellent customer service.
Overall, I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of the food, especially given the high price point. Hopefully, Famous Dave’s will step up their game and ensure that their takeout orders meet the standards their customers expect.

I understand that the cost of food has risen. With that being said, how does that justify giving less food for more money? I ordered an All American feast and a platter of wings with additional muffins. upon inspection, I only received 18 wings for $58.00. WE ARE REALLY PAYING $3.22 PER WING! please tell me I got the wrong order because this is asinine. The rest of the platter is just ehh . Decent amount of fries, a full slab of ribs and just barely a couple ounces of brisket. Again, this is $80.00. The value definitely isn’t here anymore.
