I love coming here for the dinners especially the ribeye. I was hoping they would serve breakfast with the ribeye. They did not fail me. That steak is fresh and locally cut. It’s one of the best steaks. My wife had the BLT and clam chowder. That chowder was super yummy and full of chunky claws. Side note, they also make awesome shakes and mix it with pies if you ask.

Stopped in on our way to Leavenworth. When we travel we like to see if we can find local diners to visit. The small, local diners always seem to have the best food. We weren’t disappointed with the food at all. Came out pretty quickly, and tasted great. Nice sized portions, and inexpensive as well.

If you’re traveling through Ritzville, Jake’s Cafe is an absolute must-stop. The diner feels like stepping straight into another era — cozy, welcoming, and full of charm the moment you walk in.

We were quickly greeted and told to sit wherever we liked, so we grabbed a booth by the window. As soon as we settled in, our waitress came over for drink orders, already cracking jokes with a wicked sense of humor that kept us laughing the entire meal. She suggested mozzarella sticks as an appetizer — and I’m so glad she did. They were cooked to absolute perfection (chef’s kiss).

We ordered the ribeye steak with potatoes, veggies, garlic bread, and cheddar broccoli soup. The soup was incredible — rich, flavorful, and packed with real broccoli, so you knew it was fresh. Then the steaks came out… and honestly, they were better than steaks we’ve had at high-end steakhouses. Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious.

Throughout the whole experience, our waitress kept our sodas full and somehow always appeared right when we needed something — we never once had to ask. That level of attentiveness is rare.

We decided to grab pie to go since we were heading to a hotel for the night. Before we could even mention it, she brought us plastic forks and a bag with our dessert. That kind of thoughtfulness completely sums up the service here.

This will absolutely be a regular stop for us anytime we travel through Ritzville. I was beyond impressed — amazing food, amazing service, and an experience that felt genuine from start to finish

Exactly what you want in an American Diner experience. The atmosphere is pure Americana. Waitresses are exceedingly attentive, my cup never ran empty. Came here for lunch with only a few minutes to spare, they had me out the door with hot food in 12 minutes flat! Such a nice place/staff that decided I had to come back for dinner on my way out of town. Pictured is their hand-cut 16oz Ribeye (off menu, called a Jake’s steak). Perfectly cooked to medium rare and very (nearly fork) tender. Came out to $35.19 after tax with a bottomless cup of coffee.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to WSU. Great stopping point when coming from Seattle. Perfect location right off of I-90. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our party ordered a variety of items, our appetizers were the homemade doughnuts, made with potato and apple, you coudn’t tell, they were delicious. Our ordered included, Mushroom Swiss Burger, very tasty, Fish Bun Burger which came with two very crisp fish patties, Mushroom Cheese Omelette, Chef’s Salad, and Soup of the Day. Everything was delcisous, the french fries were coated and very crisp. The portions were very big. The omelette came with hashbrowns and toast, next time I will hold the toast, it was too much for me to eat. The serve Farmers Brothers Coffee which was delicious. They also have homemade pie, but we were too full. We are really looking forward to more visit and exploring the menu even more. Jake’s really embraces the Classic American Diner. I wish I lived closer.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem, this is the place! Great service, amazing homecooked food, and LARGE portions. The blueberry sauce was the best that I’ve ever had. The produce was super fresh for both of our burgers. All the kids loved their food! I cant remember the waitresses name but she was so friednly, gave great recommendations and even gave each of the 4 kids $0.50 to play in the candy/gift machines when we were finished. We will definitely remember this stop on our travels through the area!

My wife and myself very much like this place. The food is yummy, jakes is very clean and well lit. Shelly is a sweetheart and very well rehearsed server. She is a straight shooter of the menu which is Priceless. The only very small issue for me is a little more background noise maybe a tv or soft elevator music. All in all Jake’s is a Gem.
